10 million clicks to World Peace

The following, fascinating link about a program to bring about world peace through the internet was sent to me by a friend. I offer my opinions about it below the link:

www.tenmillionclicksforpeace.org

My thoughts:
How can there be peace at all, unless the Prince of Peace is at the center of it all?

They mention miracles, which by definition are supernatural, events outside chance or human intervention.

They mention a personal growth package, how can anyone improve on God’s Word as the perfect personal growth package, needing no improvements.

It is interesting to note that the Bible tells us at the time in human history when everyone on earth is crying our for and seeking world peace, suddenly global wide destruction of a Divine origin comes upon mankind, Thus, this very program and calls for world peace tell us we are near the end of human history.

Oh, and while most will call it biblical nonsense, the bible tells us that at this time when people are crying for and working towards world peace, a man will rise up promising to bring about that very peace, even seeming to work miracles towards that end, proving he can bring peace, but instead after everyone falls down to worship him, he will bring death to the world.

So, I hope you’ll understand that because of my Christian beliefs, I will not be joining this effort. But, I thought some of you might find it interesting!

therubberduckies:
Peace is not the absence of war, war is often the only way to peace. If a person, country or movement seeks to force their will on others, there can only be peace through submission to their will. Therefore, as unfortunate as it may be, sometimes we must enagage in war to be able to live in peace without unilateral surrender.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.
