Congress Deadlocked Over How To Not Provide Health Care

Congress Deadlocked Over How To Not Provide Health Care

Though there remain irreconcilable points, both parties have reached some common ground in recent weeks. Senate leaders Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) point to Congress’ failure to pass legislation before a July 31 deadline as proof of just how serious lawmakers are about stringing along the American people and never actually reforming the health care industry in any meaningful way.
“People should know that every day we are working without their best interests in mind,” Reid said. “But the goal here is not to push through some watered-down bill that only denies health care to a few Americans here and a few Americans there. The goal is to recognize that all Americans have a God-given right to proper medical attention and then make sure there’s no chance in hell that ever happens.”

What’s In the Health Package?

Nothing healthy from what I can see.

Hey Racism Chasers…Get Your Head’s Out of Obama’s Butt and READ THE HEALTHCARE BILL

EconomicPolicyJournal.com: Shock: Inside the Healthcare Bill

Peter Fleckenstein (fleckman) on Twitter

Just some of it, with CBW’s notation:

Pg 22 of the HC Bill mandates the Government will audit books of all employers that self insure. Can you imagine what that will do to small businesses? Every one will abandon “self insurance” and go on Government insurance. So when Obama says that there will still be private health care, it’s simply a lie: this mandate will force employers to abandon their private plans. (I’m not entirely sure if by self-insured they mean the “employer” or a “bona-fide health insurance co”. If its the former than this isn’t so bad but if it’s the latter—whew that’s scary)

Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill – a Government committee (good luck with that!) will decide what treatments/benefits a person may receive.

Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill - YOUR HEALTHCARE WILL BE RATIONED! (Of course, just like in Canada, and Great Britain—hell, even here. But I’m more comfortable having an insurance co. ration me and leave me with a choice to pay for it myself than the gov’t rationing me and leaving me NO CHOICE)

Pg 42 of HC Bill – The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you. You will have no choice!

PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill - HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise. (Yes, I have a problem with that not because I lack compassion but because they are here ILLEGALLY)

Pg 58 HC Bill – Government will have real-time access to individual’s finances and a National ID Healthcard will be issued! (I had to double check that one myself and there it was Lines 5-13)

I recommend reading some of what is in the bill. I’m sure idiots like Hannah will spend time trying to redefine English to make it sound like something other than what it is but… ask yourself if the same government that made “military intelligence” the most celebrated of all oxymorons, made the US Postal Service a new standard in evil incompetence surpassing all private sector middle management, and gave us two exploding space shuttles is really the right entity to decide what medical care you will get.

If you say that’s not a problem for you you’re either a delusional hypocrite who thinks they will somehow evade the government and maintain private treatment or a total imbecile who might just as well commit suicide for trusting the lion not to bite your head off.

Also, Obama has repeatedly contradicted himself between when he was a senator, a candidate, now, and what is in the bill. If you cannot read that for yourself, return to grade school and put on the dunce cap.

American Ecnomy Continues to Falter, Govt. Remains Clueless

Jobless claims up, retail sales dip unexpectedly

Unexpected ONLY to the credulous dopes who believe the Obama campaign’s continued claims of recovery… Say, why does an actual sitting president not up for re-election for three and a half years have to keep running an election campaign organization?

Hmmm…

Well we move on.

Foreclosures rise 7 percent in July from June

U.S. home foreclosures set another record in July

I suppose all that was unexpected too. I mean, how can you expect more foreclosures as the result of increasing unemployment and decreasing income? That’s just silly.

It only stands to get worse, not better. Especially with a political class this clueless.

Former RINO Arlen Specter says protests not representative

Specter: Protests not ‘representative of America’

WASHINGTON – Sen. Arlen Specter said Wednesday he thinks people who have been angrily disrupting town hall meetings on overhauling the health care system are “not necessarily representative of America,” but should be heard.

Really Lord Specter? How grateful we are that you deign to hear the people WHO ARE CONSTITUTIONALLY SPEAKING YOUR DAMN BOSS.

Congresscare: How Good We Will NEVER Have It If Their “Reform” Goes Through

Congress’ own healthcare benefits: Membership has its privileges

Too much, too fast, too expensive. Those are some of the objections lawmakers have voiced against the healthcare overhaul Democrats are attempting on Capitol Hill.

Yes, just SOME. Many more are also laid out and more to come.

But many Americans think Congress is out of touch. How, they wonder, can lawmakers empathize with the underinsured or those lacking insurance when they receive a benefits package—heavily subsidized by taxpayers—that most of us can only envy?

THINK congress is out of touch? We KNOW it.

Empathize? Since when do they care about a population they steal money from at will with glee and joy? I don’t think a congress that votes itself perpetual pay and pay increases at will is going to give a rat’s butt.

Among the advantages: a choice of 10 healthcare plans that provide access to a national network of doctors, as well as several HMOs that serve each member’s home state. By contrast, 85% of private companies offering health coverage provide their employees one type of plan—take it or leave it.

Lawmakers also get special treatment at Washington’s federal medical facilities and, for a few hundred dollars a month, access to their own pharmacy and doctors, nurses and medical technicians standing by in an office conveniently located between the House and Senate chambers.

In all, taxpayers spent about $15 billion last year to insure 8.5 million federal workers and their dependents, including postal service employees, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

If the average company tried to replicate this, not only would there be no profits, and not only abysmal debt, but the company would economically turn inside out and cease to exist. Only government which can use its police powers to expropriate our money at will and lay on debt that we and unborn generations are indentured to can do this.

Favorite Quote:

“For the average worker, the Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan would probably look quite attractive,” said Pete Sepp, a spokesman for the National Taxpayers Union, a pinch-penny advocacy group.

DO YA THINK?

Elitist scumbags who have theirs, and will tell us, “sorry, but we don’t think your mother’s cancer treatment would serve the public interest very well and we cannot approve of it.”

Remember, the libtard troll roaches who infest this blog, every last one of them, are for exactly this inequity. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, don’t it?

Liberals Losing It Right Here

Has anyone else noticed that Hannah is continuing with the escalating allegations of nefarious deeds as are Dino and Rbb but all three of them can prove nothing but instead merely keep making further accusations one after another even as Rob finds nothing amiss?

Could it be when they have nothing left to argue with and all the HuffPo talking points are demolished and their opponents remain undeterred that all they have left is paranoia?

My but you libtards are pathetic trolls. In the old days of Usenet, you’d have been talked into killing yourselves for the amusement of the regulars’ imagination. That’s truly a new level of debased worthlessness.

Govt.‘s potential Wall Street, bank support $24T

Govt.‘s potential Wall Street, bank support $24T

WASHINGTON (AP)—The federal government has devoted $4.7 trillion to help the financial sector through its crisis, a watchdog report said Monday.

Under the worst of circumstances, the report said, the government’s maximum exposure could total nearly $24 trillion, or $80,000 for every American.

The figures are part of a tough new quarterly report to Congress from special inspector general Neil Barofsky, who accuses the Treasury Department of repeatedly failing to adopt recommendations aimed at making one component of the government financial rescue effort more accountable and transparent.

Whose treasury was this? Was that Obama’s? Was it Obama’s headed by his hand picked Timothy Geithner?

Yes, I do believe it was.

Recommended Books

I have two books to recommend today, both on the same subject namely that of stoicism. I know the word stoic is largely heard in descriptions by Allan Dean Foster of various characters in Star Wars novels but it actually has a meaning philosophically.

AP Taps Obama On The Shoulder With Reality

FACT CHECK: Obama disowns deficit he helped shape

WASHINGTON (AP)—“That wasn’t me,” President Barack Obama said on his 100th day in office, disclaiming responsibility for the huge budget deficit waiting for him on Day One. It actually was partly him - and the other Democrats controlling Congress the previous two years - who shaped the latest in a string of precipitously out-of-balance budgets.

Spring Flowers

This is the sort of thing you find when you see the forest for the trees… and the bushes and the weeds and the flowers. And carry a cell phone camera.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The woods are full of tiny flowers everywhere just as they were full of colorful fungi in the fall last year. Everything is budding or flowering or otherwise growing. At home the Lily of the Valley bed is going, the lilacs are headed for bloom, the roses beginning to bud, and the tulips and tiger lilies shooting up.

I highly recommend walking for exercise and doing it in the nearest woods whenever possible. And going slow and paying attention. You might see things that surprise you.

Ignore Dino and Friends Improved

I found that you can ignore Dino and company when they don't log in but instead post with a nickname as Dino, Hawk, and a number of others do.

Instead of needing the profile in the blocked_ids array, you need 'Avatar for (nickname here)' and the .match function will dutifully remove any post with that in it which all non-logged in anonymous posts do.

Get it right here.

I recommend setting IgnoredPostsVerbose = 0 to remove all trace of them. Just remember that if you don't, add the names in the blocked_names array in the same order as you add to the blocked_ids.

Enjoy a less troll filled Say Anything.

Pirates Undeterred by Obama

Somali pirates on hijack spree since weekend

MOMBASA, Kenya – Somali pirates were back to business as usual Tuesday, defiantly seizing four more ships with 60 hostages after U.S. sharpshooters rescued an American freighter captain. “No one can deter us,” one bandit boasted. The freed skipper, Richard Phillips, will return home to the United States on Wednesday, after reuniting with his 19-man crew in the Kenyan port of Mombasa, according to the shipping company Maersk Line Ltd.

The brigands grabbed more ships and hostages to show they would not be intimidated by President Barack Obama’s pledge to confront the high-seas bandits, according to a pirate based in the Somali coastal town of Harardhere.

“Our latest hijackings are meant to show that no one can deter us from protecting our waters from the enemy because we believe in dying for our land,” Omar Dahir Idle told The Associated Press by telephone. “Our guns do not fire water. I am sure we will avenge.”

Yup, that really worked so well.
