Barack Obama’s review of William Ayers’ book

On December 21, 1997, Barack Obama wrote a short review of William Ayers’ book A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court, which had recently been published by Beacon Press. Here’s a photo of how the review appeared in the Chicago Tribune

The picture and more of the story at Zombie’s website listed here http://www.zombietime.com/zomblog/?p=64 Check out the work Zombie did to get this information. He went to the S.F. library and dug through the stacks to collect this data. Things the MSM use to do on all candidates. Now they only go after people that make them or the Annointed one look foolish.
I still can’t get over how the MSM are just ignoring the flaws in this man. Watching the MSM during this election is like watching the Wizard of OZ movie when they go to see the Wizard (played by Obama). Dorothy (The MSM), Tin Man (Soros), Scarecrow (Pelosi) and of course the Cowardly Lion (Biden) watch as ToTo (played very convincingly by Harry Reid) pulls the curtain back and exposes the wizard for what he really is. Just your average lying, cheating, carny shill. As the wizard is exposed he states over and over again. Ignore that man behind the curtain…....Wow….just like real life. Amazing how Hollywood can sometimes tell the future.

Workers deserve to hear both sides, vote in private

When citizens go to the polls on Nov. 4, they will be free to vote their conscience —  regardless of pressure from relatives, friends or co-workers —  after having had a chance to weigh the alternatives. Campaigns and secret ballots are sacrosanct elements of American democracy.

So it’s surprising and disturbing that organized labor wants to do away with both these elements when workers decide whether to form a union.

Under the current system, once 30% of a company’s workers sign union authorization cards, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) administers a confidential vote, typically 39 days after it receives the cards. The union and employer campaign for votes.

Under a major rewrite of U.S. labor law being promoted by unions, when more than 50% of employees sign authorization cards, the NLRB would have to recognize the new union. No campaign. No secret ballot.

This is legislation that has already passed in the House. Obama has said he backs this legislation. Check his respones here http://obama.senate.gov/press/070620-obama_calls_for_6/
Socialism is the way of his heart. It is not a mind thing with him. That is my opinion. Go with the old adage….....You get what you VOTE(pay)for.

Detroit Democratic mayor resigns, faces jail

Democratic Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of obstruction of justice and no contest to one count of felonious assault, ending a months-long political standoff. As part of a plea bargain, the mayor agreed to resign within two weeks and pay up to $1 million in restitution. He also faces four months in jail, five years probation and will be barred from elective office for five years.

Magic of Google 2001

I found this at another blog. Google is celebrating their 10 year anniversary. They are allowing people to search google as it was in 2001. Some of you may enjoy looking back on what your searches would now produce from 10 years ago. the URL is http://www.google.com/search2001.html

Justice Dept. Targets GOP Activists

Thanks to pajamasmedia.com for the following information.

When I reported on September 19 that partisan career lawyers in the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice were planning on criminally targeting Republican political activists and candidates, this was treated with disbelief by some.  In fact, Rick Hasen, a liberal law professor at Loyola who runs the popular Election Law Blog , a website concentrating on voting and election developments, expressed his skepticism “of such anonymous claims.”

The article goes on to explain how the investigation is into a letter that informed illegal immigrants in California that it is against the law to vote as a non-american. WHAT THE H***. Orwell would be proud of the Democrats. Practice your doublethink people.
The interesting part is who is running the investigation within the FBI. Part of the information for this article is at the following URL.

Biden & Partners - How they’re making Delaware a mecca for the tort bar.

This is why we need to bring Palin into D.C. Anything to get rid of the old hacks that are bleeding this country dry.

Joe Biden debates Sarah Palin tomorrow night, so expect to hear a lot about how he and Barack Obama will change Washington. Moderator Gwen Ifill might want to ask the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee how that message squares with the story of Mr. Biden, his son, and the lawsuit lobby.

Democrat Leaders Played to Lose

From the American Spectator. I now these guys are not fans of Pelosi but if what they have printed in this article is true. Then it is the ultimate, bite my ass, playing of politics. A complete disregard for the welfare of America. As long as they can gain power then (expletive deletive) the people of the U.S.
During the floor vote, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and House Democrat Conference chair Rahm Emanuel could be seen monitoring the vote on the floor, and gauging whether or not more Democrat votes were needed.

Emanuel, who served as a board member for Freddie Mac, one of the agencies that precipitated the economic crisis the nation now finds itself in, had no misgivings about taking a leadership role in tanking the bill. “He was cheerleading us along, mothering the votes,” says the aide. “We wanted enough to put the pressure on the Republicans and Congressman Emanuel was charged with making it close enough. He did a great job.”

Pelosi and her aides have made it clear they were not going to “whip” or twist the arms of members who did not want to vote, but they also made no effort to rally any support for a bill they attempted to hijack over the weekend.

Further, according to House Oversight Committee staff, Emanuel has received assurances from Pelosi that she will not allow what he termed a “witch hunt” to take place during the next Congressional session over the role Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac played in the economic crisis.

We really, really, really have to get ALL of these pols out of Washington and get some new minds in there. And the MSM sleeps the sleep of the righteous.

BLANKLEY: Media covering for Obama

OP-ED:
The mainstream media have gone over the line and are now straight out propagandists for the Obama campaign. While they have been liberal and blinkered in their worldview for decades, in 2007-08 for the first time, the major media are consciously covering for one candidate for president and consciously knifing the other. This is no longer journalism — it is simply propaganda
(The American left-wing version of the Volkischer Beobachter cannot be far behind.) And as a result, we are less than seven weeks away from possibly electing a president who has not been thoroughly and even half way honestly presented to the country by our watchdogs — the press.

Levi Johnston to join Palin family at convention

The boyfriend of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s unwed, pregnant daughter will join the family of the Republican vice presidential candidate at the GOP convention in St. Paul, Minn.
Levi Johnston’s mother said her 18-year-old son left Alaska on Tuesday morning to join the Palin family at the convention where Sen. John McCain will officially receive the Republican nomination for president. The boy’s mother, Sherry Johnston, said there had been no pressure put on her son to marry 17-year-old Bristol Palin and the two teens had made plans to wed before it was known she was pregnant.

“This is just a bonus,” Johnston said.

I will give another $50 to the McCain/Palin Presidential fund if Johnston just hauls of and punches the first ignorant questions by an MSM reporter. That would raise the roof…..

Tensions Boil Over at MSNBC as Shuster, Scarborough Feud

Tensions are running high at MSNBC, at least surrounding veteran host Joe Scarborough who seems to be increasingly discontented at his network’s decision to market itself as the cable net of choice for Bush haters. That hasn’t sat well with the likes of the far left Keith Olbermann who has played a large role in getting MSNBC to pursue this strategy

The implosions are begining. Let the fun begin. Watch the video at the website.

The Europeanization of the Democratic Party

In the 19th century Americans took very seriously Washington’s warning against “entangling alliances” which might interfere with the country’s unfolding “Manifest Destiny” of dynamic growth and expansion. A corollary to this belief was that the “Great American Democracy” was a unique-perhaps even divinely inspired-form of political organization vastly superior to the Old World’s tired regimes of aristocratic privilege and downtrodden masses.

In the 20th century America entered upon the world stage powerfully and decisively coming to the aid of embattled European democracies and leading them to victory in two world wars and the Cold War. Launching these extraordinary interventions were three memorable Democratic presidents - Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman.

Good article by William Moloey in the Rocky Mountain News located in Denver Colorado. You can find the rest of the article at the URL listed below.

In India, Cheap Car Will Challenge Two-Wheelers

It is billed as the world’s cheapest car — and the world is eager for it to hit the streets of India.

The Nano, which was announced in January and is expected to debut later this year, is the first in a wave of extremely cheap cars intended to put a multitude of new motorists behind the wheel for the first time. It carries a basic price of 100,000 Indian rupees, or roughly $2,500, about half the current cost of its nearest rival.

I added this post after reading robert108’s post on Pelosi’s energy proposal. With all the politicking of our problem with oil in this country. I would think that our members on Congress would be looking to the future and determining what trials we face in obtaining available oil. What do we hear instead from the GOP….stand aside and we will fix the problem. Not information that the American people can use to help them push for off-shore drilling or info they can use to understand the problem we face with more demand for oil by other countries and how that will effect us.
The article shows that with India ready to produce a very cheap car. The increase in demand for oil in the near future is going to be much higher. Per an CNBC discussion I listend to last week, the manufacturer, are also in talks with China to produce the car there for the people of China. The rise in demand will be over the top.
Yet our Congress is placing the oil problem in the politcal column on how to scare the American people into voting for their party. The American people need to hear how the increase for oil in other nations will effect our capability of obtaining what little available oil there may be in the future. Unless we start producing our own resources, we are in for a major hurt in this country. What we hear instead is how WE need to cut down on our consumption and everything will be peachy keen. Cutting down on our oil consumption is a good start but will not relieve the pressure for the dwindling available oil. Now I know how the Romans felt while Nero played his fiddle. Governmentium - New element discovered

Research has led to the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years; It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons
