If the world’s self described liberals were honest and consistent, they would label the fruitless research for a vaccine a “quagmire” with “no end in sight” while spouting off how expensive the endeavor has been thus far.

Maybe it’s time we “pull out” and save our money for more useful goals, such as freeing millions of people from the clutches of dictatorships. We can count on the liberals to support freedom, right? At least those endeavors bear fruit.

Communism works!

America may have the world’s buffet at her fingertips, but Cuba can now get DVD players. This is top of the line technology that hasn’t been popular in the free world for 10 years already. Next year will be exciting because the Cubans will be able to get a new fangled device called an “air conditioner”.

Long live the revolution! Communism is a success! Power to the people!

Now if only this island can work on it’s fish shortage. At least they have free health care. Communism protects the people!

Representatives of 13 Arizona tribes walked out of a meeting with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Wednesday and threatened to file suit over the proposed delisting of the bald eagle.

The agency is considering taking the bald eagle off the endangered species list. But tribal leaders said their religious and spiritual views haven’t been taken into account.

Why would their religious and spiritual views be taken into consideration? The Endangered Species Act and the animal listing/delisting process has nothing to do with such concerns.

Is it even about the animals anymore or is it about control?

Seat belt use should be a choice among adults. That being said, it is stupid not to wear them.

Gov. Corzine remained in critical condition today, recovering from a broken thigh bone and a dozen broken ribs from a Thursday night accident on the Garden State Parkway. Officials say it appears that he was not wearing a seat belt.

Ouch.

When one is in the car with other people, as Corzine was, not wearing a seatbelt can be deadly for everybody. During a crash, an unstrapped body becomes a missile. Corzine is just lucky that his big dumbass body didn’t fly into his driver and his assistant sitting behind him. His last living act on Earth could have been to kill other people. That’s how serious not wearing a seatbelt can be.

So where was Corzine going? He was on his way to host a meeting between Don Imus and the Rutgers Women’s Basketball Team. He almost died in an SUV on the way to that. Great job governor.

Corzine is a big nanny-state tax and spend Democrat. New Jersey needs to fine his ass with the laws that he agrees to and welcome him back from the brink of death. Next time, he needs to wear a seatbelt.
