Is it because they are women?

Is it because they are good looking?  Maybe, seems like liberal babes more resemble Cindy Shehann than Sarah Palin.
IF that’s not the case then the only thing PMSNBC can have against them is that they are conservative.

SO, women of the world if you have the hots for the likes of Keith Olberman or Chris Matthews (and what woman doesn’t) then don’t follow in the steps of US Representative Michelle Bachmann, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin or former Miss California Carrie Prejean. 

No matter your beauty, wisdom or accomplishments, you aren’t Keith’s kind of Girl.

Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 .

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [”]united force[”] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

You won’t know this guy.  I do.  He’s a very bright fiscal moderate.  I embrace his sound views.  Libertarian.  Believes in true free markets.  Not the phony ones like the Kleptocracy that the Health Care -Insurance Big Pharma -Government combine has become.

OR the Financial services industry with AIG as the poster child.

I said in a comment that I might try to “Educate” you all a bit on economics but I doubted you were ready to learn. I will get flak for this, but you always get the greatest flak when you right over the target.  I tire of the simplistic comments, posts and shallow solutions and analysis some make on this blog in posts and comments.  How about digging a bit deeper and keep that knee from jerking so often?

I will take a shot.  Let someone else do the speaking for me. You can argue with him. 
Why Deregulation isn’t always a good thing.  Sometimes we need government to do what free enterprise and the market won’t or can’t do.

You can read the whole story here.  But somedays (hey hey ho ho a pirate’s life for me) a pirates life isn’t for everyone. Somalian pirates attack a French naval vessel.  When the pirates realized that this ship shot back, they turned tail and ran.

Many are now in custody.  My custody would be shorter.  I’d take them out about a hundred miles and let them swim to shore, and then shoot any survivors who actually made it.  But that’s just me and old warmonger domininionist at heart.

So, do you think that arming freight ships might just be a good idea?

I do. Proof is in the pudding.

True story. Happened to a very close relative of mine in the last two weeks.  Minneapolis.  Alan, son of my relative had pain in the abdomen. It became severe.  So, he took Alan to the emergency room.  Sat four hours in pain waiting.  Got in finally. 

Doctor interviews him.  They do a cat scan.  Once doctor is seen the process is about an hour. One nurse, one doctor, one cat-scan machine, one cat-scan operator and the little girl a the desk who admitted him and discharged him.  That’s it.

The verdict.  Kidney stones.

THE BILL.

$10,500.  

He has Blue Cross catastrophic.  $5000 deductible.  Blue Cross immediately got the bill reduced to $4900.  OOOPS, JUST UNDER that deductible.  Never fear.  He has an MSA.  It sucked that right up.  Now the MSA account is dry.  Nobody better get sick.  Now that there are Kidney Stones, the question about continuing coverage for ALAN (who’s almost 21 and a student in College) by Blue Cross comes up.

Let’s see, insane medical costs, non insurance and phony MSA.  OH, and the MSA.  Yes, it’s tax free but, it’s HIS money.  And the BANK charges him $50 a year to “Manage” the MSA.  They paid him $23 interest on his account.  Big hairy deal.

Outrage is the way I call this.  When some form of lame nationalized health care comes into being and we all scream about it, it’s greed and incompetence that got us here.  Now we will all pay more for everybody.

The plan that makes the most sense to me is the one Baccus us promoting which seems to match the program in Switzerland.  I think we need to encourage the needed changes in stead of keeping the posture of head in sand.

I don’t put much stock in the UN, but the study of the best countries in the world to live in places Switzerland well above the USA who is considered unlucky number 13.  I don’t agree necessarily, but I lived in Europe long enough to say with confidence that when we say USA, we’re number one…. Sometimes we’re NOT.

And to run this off at the pass, I just would like the country I live in to do better than Number 13.

Israel is looking like the new leader of the Free World. The previous leader, the United States, resigned this role last week at the United Nations to take the position of global community organizer. This was made plain by President Obama in his speech, titled “Responsibility for Our Common Future,” in which he heralded “a new chapter of international cooperation.” By contrast, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a blunt and forceful call to action in the central challenge facing free people today. This is the struggle of “civilization against barbarism” being fought by “those who sanctify life against those who glorify death.”

I saw this full episode on PBS the other night.  I sat in awe as renowned way left guy Marvin Kalb was beaten to a verbal pulp by Bill O’Reiley.

As I watched, it became obvious that the only foil the left has left is ad hominum.  Facts are no longer friendly.  So, blame and accuse the messenger.

Reading various stories on the Late Nite guy, I guess what stopped me cold was the fact that he had sex with several of the interns.  A couple who I thought looked like nice gals.  Stephanie Birkitt and Holly Hester.

He used to have them come out an do a “Bit”.  If you watched his show, he would make kinda fun of them.  But then he was banging them in the “upper room”. 

I know they are not kids any more.  But, some 21 year old doing the dance of the two humped camel with a fifty something seems just, well creepy.

He’s a slimeball and should now give it up.  How much disgrace can one person handle.  He’s really over the top.

When should true slimeballs give it up?

Never one to ignore a good conspiracy theory, I of late have wondered why the trolls on SAB persist. They are fighting a losing battle.  All that happens is pointless cacophony.

Then it starts to dawn on me.  That’s the point.  As long as it’s too noisy, the clatter too loud, the death rattles too near those who try to divert honest and competent debate by their efforts may have no interest whatsoever in debate.  Just keeping debate from happening.

I have read of people actually hired to do this kind of diversion.  I doubted it.  I am starting not to. 

I think in fact they have come to this place to become obstacles, nothing else.

I wouldn’t think of going on a left wing blog and engaging myself.  Daily Kos or Huffington.  I would have to shower for a month and I can’t stand the nausea in reading them.  I’m not interested in the deluded mentality of those folks.

Yet they persist in using up perfectly good electrons to frustrate any attempts at competent discourse here.

I think on SAB Dino has to be the poster child.  There are a few others, but I’m betting that this story, this concept applies to him, her or them. I’m not even sure Dino is one person.  It may be a team operating out of an Acorn office somewhere being paid $8.50 an hour to be an toady troll.  What a pitiful life.

I guess there is a way to shut them off.  I haven’t, I just blow by whatever he, she or they have to say.  I wish everyone else would and don’t bother to answer.  It’s not worth the effort.

You just encourage them and help them keep their pitiful little jobs.

The first time I heard Janis Joplin sing on the Dick Cavett Show in the spring of 1968.  It blew me away.  She was there with Big Brother and the holding company.  They did A little piece of my heart.  I knew she was big.  Tonite I saw this video someone pointed me to.  Mamma Cass is there at this performance.  She was BIG then.  I see her amazed at what she is seeing. Appreciative. But, Competition?  I don’t know.  All I know is Janis was a tremendous singer and she is missed.

“I think his naivete is overwhelming,” John Bolton told an overflowing lecture hall at Duke University’s law school Thursday night. The president doesn’t understand, he said, that “it’s not American strength that’s provocative, it’s American weakness.’

Bolton, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute who also served in high diplomatic posts in several Republican administrations, said Obama has not yet “transitioned from being a candidate to being a president.”

Nor, he added, has Obama “transitioned from being a legislator to being an executive.”

That lack of experience, Bolton said, combined with the naivete, is “a combustible combination.’
