Mexican President has Relatives Here - Illegally

Worse yet, Mexican President Calderon subtly bragged about having family members who are in the U.S. illegally. He chuckled and smiled as he said that he would not divulge their names or locations until after immigration reform legislation was passed giving them amnesty. Who’s he laughing at?

Oh, brother. Just get Iyt Over With

After the Fed caused the .com and housing bubbles, the Bush administration wants to give the Federal Reserve Wall Street.

There is no government oversight on the Federal Reserve Bank. It is a private banking institution. No body in the federal government has the legal Constitutional authority to regulate or give oversight of Wall Street corporations, or anyone/anything else for that matter, to anyone.

Just give these guys the whole country. That’s what they want. There can be no doubt now about who is pulling Bush’s strings.

Justice Roberts Puts Bush in His Place

The Supreme Court has upheld a lower court’s ruling upholding the state of Texas’s refusal to grant a Mexican national who was convicted of murder a new trial because he did not have access to his embassy.

In announcing the decision, Roberts said that the, “president’s authority, as with the exercise of any governmental power, stemmed from an act of Congress or the Constitution.”

There goes the kingdom.

U.S. Building Border Fence

in Egypt.

We can’t get one built here for some reason but we sure can in Egypt.

Congress also let the Bush tax cuts expire so starting in 2010, you will be paying 10-15% more in taxes and over 100,000 more of you will be out of work thanks to 3 times the number of H1-B visas

Congress Destroying Their Constituents

At a time of growing economic crisis with many states reporting increasing unemployment, Congress is attempting to run an end-around the public’s demand to curtail illegal immigration.

While a bill to reduce illegal immigration (H.R. 4088) remains in limbo, Members of the House are rushing to expand the H-1B visa program, which imports foreign workers to take American jobs, many of whom overstay their visas and become illegal aliens.

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz) has introduced the Innovation Employment Act (H.R. 5630), which would DOUBLE the current H-1B visa cap to 130,000 per fiscal year. H.R. 5630 would further raise the cap to 180,000, for five years beginning in 2010, if the 130,000 cap is reached during the 2009 fiscal year.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) has introduced the Strengthening United States Technology and Innovation Act (H.R. 5642), which would TRIPLE the current H-1B visa cap to 195,000 in 2008 and 2009.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) is calling for a bill that would make Rep. Smith’s increases permanent.

House Chief Deputy Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) recently made the erroneous statement that H-1B visas are “not tied up to the larger issue of illegal immigration.” Nearly half of all illegal immigrants are people who’s H-1B visa expired and stayed illegally.

Representatives Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) and Michael McCaul (R-Texas) have introduced a bill that would practically staple a green card to the diploma of every foreign student who gets their Ph.D. from an American University.

Nancy Pelosi Wants More

Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you’re so stupid that we’re going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. That’s what the Speaker of the House is saying.

Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income. You aren’t going to believe this.  Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax
on all stock market profits (including Retirement funds, 401Ks and Mutual Funds to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

She says, “ We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.”

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: “We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as Americans”

This woman is out of her mind.

Iran Being Cut Off

A fourth underwater telecommunications cable between Iran and OPEC countries has been cut in about a week. The cables carry both Internet and regular telephone traffic and TelCos have started using IP to transmit long distance calls because it’s cheaper. The odds of this happening accidentally are greater than winning the lotto. Most telecom people would say that this is impossible.

The thing that immediately comes to mind is that, like Saddam did prior to the invasion and Chavez is currently doing, Iran has started demanding oil payments in Euros. OPEC monarchs agreed, in exchange for protection from external forces and internal coupes, to hedge the dollar by pricing oil in U.S. currency. As the dollar continues to fall, the Euro is a more attractive form of payment.

If Iran is able to talk a couple of OPEC kings into following suit, no amount of interest rate cutting or tax rebates could stop the fall.

Public Employees Retirement System Invests in Mexico

It seems that making our economy available to Mexico through illegal immigration may have had some benefits. Now that the steady flow of cash and jobs south of the border has caused a better economic climate there, perhaps we won’t be seeing as many illegals as Mexico, economically, becomes a better place to live. Even CalPERS is taking 300 million of the tax dollars that were used to pay them south.  A relative and her husband who actually run California’s Democratic party are planning on retiring there as are many of their CalPERS friends. Look for the FRB to print more dollars to pump into the growing economy.

Republican Congressman Indicted for Funding Al-Qaida

Excluding Ron Paul Cost FOXNews $6 Billion

FOX News stock prices began falling on the day that they announced that Ron Paul would be excluded from the NH debates. They fell every day for the next 7 days losing a total of 10% or $6 Billion.

The stock did not stop falling and begin to rise until Jan 8th, the day that FOX News announced that Ron would be included in the SC debates. It shot up 4% in just two days.

In a kind of guilt by association theme, Time Warner and Viacom stock also fell almost 6% over the same time period.

Obviously, Ron Paul supporters did not have the power to cause this. It seems that many other Americans are concerned about manipulation by the media as well.

On a side note, wacko Bill O’Reilly’s behavior has transformed into a death wish. When an Obama aide stepped in between O’Reilly and Obama at a political rally in NH, O’Reilly uttered an obscenity and shoved the Obama staff member, and was soon flanked by Secret Service agents. He also has been pointing out that GE is selling aircraft parts to Iran. GE owns NBC and MSNBC and if you want to continue a career in the media, you just don’t point these things out. O’Reilly staffer, Jesse Waters, obviously caught up in Bill’s inferno, shoved a mike into the face of GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt while he was having lunch in New York demanding that he answer questions about the sales to Iran. Waters was promptly removed from the restaurant. Bill, Bill, Bill. Orchids or roses?

NBC Claims Victim Status

In challenging a recent court decision that prevents NBC from excluding Dennis Kucinich from it’s televised debates, NBC is claiming that its Constitutional rights to freedom of the press are being violated.

The media is quick to use the Constitution to claim victim status but ignores the fact that freedom of the press was guaranteed in order to protect the rights of the people. Does the media really think that they were singled out to have rights for their own purposes? Do they really think that freedom of the press was intended to give them the right to manipulate elections?

In a Constitutional Republic, the rights and desires of the minority are supposed to be taken into account and accommodated. How can this be done if the minority is not heard?

Individual rights and freedom are paramount as the Constitution’s basis. Dennis Kucinich’s freedom of speech and the rights of the people he represents supersede anything that the press would interpret as it’s right to limit them.

Hillary is Keeping Race and Gender Out of Politics

"This is the most exciting election we’ve had in such a long time because you have an African-America, an extraordinary man, a person of tremendous talents and abilities running to become our president. You have a woman running to break the highest and hardest glass ceiling. I don’t think either of us want to inject race or gender into his campaign.” - Hillary on Meet the Press

She’s right. Neither one of them do. They both do.

Today the Light Bulb. Tomorrow the ,,,,

There have been a number of articles about this the last few days. Here is one - Big Brother

California legislators want to install non-removable FM receivers in just about everything in your home so they can turn them on and off at their will. Their excuse is that they need to reduce energy usage.

Developing technology that uses less money and saves you money is a great idea but, the technology should be driven through competition as consumers flock to energy saving devices.

What we need to continue our advance as a society is more abundant, cheaper energy from better, cleaner sources. This will be driven by consumer demand. If energy companies see an opportunity to make more money by selling more energy developed from less expensive resources, they will respond. They will respond faster if more energy companies are offering better, lower priced products.

Imposing the reduction of energy usage on Americans through legislation is the socialization of our energy resources and will result in technological stagnation. It is what caused the collapse of the Soviet Union. In other words, these guys are commies. Whether they are Democrats or Republicans, we need to get them out of office.
