Laughter Anyone?  [anon.]

I am in receipt of your “FINAL DEMAND” for payment of my account.  I have to inform you that my normal practice concerning the settlement of debts is to place all of my bills in a hat once a month, from which I draw out two or three for payment.  I have followed this procedure with regard to your bill.      However, if I receive another letter from you, Sir, the tone of which I consider to be rude, your bill will not be put in the hat at all.

Government competition in the marketplace

How can we legally allow our government to take revenues out of the coffers of private companies such as FedEx and UPS?  Revenues, on which taxes flow to the very entity they’re competing with.  Is this in any way fair?  Until FedEx and UPS risked their capital, and proved there was a market for their services, the USPS was uninterested, but once they saw money could be made, they jumped on board.  I’d wager, though, that the government even loses money in this endeavor, as they do with everything they touch. What really makes this a tragic, yet hilarious, farce is the monies the government spends on advertising.  I have seen substantial, permanent signs, blazing away at midnight, along major highways, advising us that there is a post office in the local town.  Like I have to be “advised” of that information. If I need a post office you’ll find me searching for one somewhere downtown.  I’ll just assume it wouldn’t be located in a swamp outside the city. I’ll bet the bulbs in those signs are not CFLs either.  Rest assured billions are involved in advertising, and it is completely unnecessary.  Perhaps this is, somehow, related to the warnings we give idiots that Hot coffee can burn.  Then there are the TV ads, which must cost a fortune, but hey, they don’t care, they’ve always got we suckers to turn to.

Chinese versus African

So I’m watching this TV program about Chinese bridgebuilders who are spanning the busiest shipping lanes in the world. They’re building this complex, gigantic, bridge, which will be one of four designed to join Hong Kong with nearby islands. It almost causes one to rise up, and with clenched fist, shout Hooray!!  To think that, not too many years ago, Chinese students were denied entrance to higher education in America, and now look what they’re accomplishing.  Then my mind recalled that, even today, there is much animosity towards oriental students at that bastion of freedom, and opportunity, the Univ. of California, Berzerkely.

Chappaquidick

Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of the killing of Mary Jo Kopechne, by Teddy Kennedy, at the Chappaquidick bridge.    Instead of spending a year or two in jail for his actions,“Teddy Boy” has gone on to be re-elected time after time by the deranged Liberal citizens of Mass.    The same Mass. which keeps sending the lisping swish, Barney Frank, back to Wash.  The same Mass. which had a state house speaker[Billy Bulger], who was the brother of one of the FBI’s ten most wanted criminals [Whitey Bulger].    But back to Kennedy and that cesspool which is his family.  Drugs, immorality, back stabbing, under table deals, bootlegging, Hitler lovers, rehabbers, no Wind Farm in my view, high-end prostitutes, Familia.

North Dakota’s surplus

You know how it is. The big states, with the help of our beloved government, are looking closely at your $1.300.000.00 surplus.  You say they can’t scarf off all, or part, of those monies. Think again. The more you boast of your fiscal circumstances, the more those bastards will try to relieve you of your bonanza.

Micheal Jackson whitey/blacky ?

Micheal Jackson who throughout his life tried to deny, in act, deed, and color, that he was a black man, is on his death, being embraced as a black hero.  Excuse me, as soon as he had two bucks to his name he was intent on disproving that he’d ever been black, what with that white bleach shit.  He even had three kids impregnated with, or HIRED men to physically do the Job. This is a hero to American blacks?  Seems to me that someone who denied his birthright should be shunned in death. But what do I know , blacks voted for BHO at a 95% ratio. If blacks need heroes so desperately perhaps they should become more familiar with the Republicans who, at great political risk, voted for their civil rights, against a majority of Democratic votes. Ninety five per cent my ass, even Cuba didn’t shame their country thus.

a coming crisis on the internet

Someday soon liberals will decide that no other political viewpoints shall be allowed.  They could, I suppose, cram all of these sites with their drivel, if allowed to do so.  Why not devise a system where politviews are alloted by a COG system. COG, like the railroads use up steep grades, meaning every contribution is given a slot, a group therefore could never overwhelm the system. I may not have articulated the threat, exactly, due to my paucity of words, but you get drift.

Remembering Mr. Wizard, Don Herbert

When I read of schools in New York spending $17.000.00 per year, per student, and graduating fifty six per cent of their students, I am beyond despondent.  I read of bonds being issued to create more brick and mortar schools and wonder why we refuse to recognize a thing which has been shown to be far superior to the present form of education.  I refer, of course, to the electronic teaching tools which have been so successful, and yet are virtually ignored.  As a youth I looked forward, avidly, to a program on Saturday morning called “Mr Wizard”.  I’m sure many of you, my age, also enjoyed Don Herbert’s efforts to explain Science in an interesting way.  For you younger readers I recommend you go to “You Tube” and check out a few of the episodes, and you’ll see what I’m writing of.  We watched his program because it caught, and held, our interest.  Watching his show, in no way was required by our teachers in order to make a grade, or whatever.  We watched because he was able to present his experiments in an “gotcha” way.  I never saw, on TV, a Mathematics teacher,an English teacher, a teacher of finance, or a History teacher, though I’ve seen plenty of historical events, portrayed to rave reviews on TV, over the years, present their Academics in this manner.  Too bad, it might have changed so many things in this country.    It has to be the Teachers Unions resistance to this format, does it not?

Here we go again. I’m getting very tired of these “Bare All” news conferences. I can’t tell who I’m more embarrassed for, him, or me for watching. I continue to adhere to the theory that men, and women, are not monogamous by nature, and trying to be so will, inevitably, lead to titillating apologies such as we witnessed today. Maybe the Japanese, with their Geishas are right after all. Then there are the Italians and French, who look on, in amusement, while our politicians fall on their swords over sexual indiscretions.  So there goes, likely, a promising political career. And, except for a certain prurient segment of our population his foibles would be overlooked. Odd it is that a New York Governor is driven from office for having sex with a prostitute, and now this, an affair of the heart it seems, are treated alike by society, when they are completely different. It seems that Sex, itself, is the problem doesn’t it?  Perhaps males, and females, desirous of political office, should undergo castration, and clitoral mutilation, as the price they’ll pay for political office. I’d wager there would, still,be those who would be interested in whether the scalpels used were dull, or sharp, What amounts of anesthesia were used ,etc. The mere mention of prostitution brings a multitude of grossly obese housewives into the streets protesting any such thing. We’ve got to grow up people. Unless it actually costs our citizenry, a flight over New York on Air Force One to impress a girl friend for instance, we should restrict our prurience to books, or magazines, of which there are many.

Never mention race, let them accuse you of doing so…

From the pen of Dr. Joseph Goebbels. “It is not propaganda’s task to be intelligent, It’s task is to lead to success”.  The word to hammer was “Change” and they did. It worked as well as “Juden” did way back then. But of course our citizens, and non-citizens, can’t read, or think, so how would they know they were being propagandized. Anyway Madonna was for “the one” so that was good enough. Lord help our country.

for want of a nail..

It has come to my attention that Mike Ditka, no stranger to sports fans, was prevailed upon to run for the senate seat Barack Obama eventually won.  Unfortunately “Iron Mike” chose not to run and because of it we have a new president- elect. With his name recognition Ditka, and a half-way decent campaign manager, it’s likely he would have won. After Micheal Jordan mike is likely the next most revered sports figure by Chicago fans/voters. How in hell will they keep in step?

We’ve all seen videos of the Nazi armies marching , in perfect step and order to the military marches they so prefered. One wonders what form the Obama army will take, and what will they march to? If I had to venture a guess I’d say they will be shaped after Minister Farrakan’s “fruit of Islam” bodyguards but, of course, we would do well to remember that large parts of our own armed forces could, I think easily, be conscripted into these “Neo “Brownshirts”.  I still can’t get my brain around how cadres of dreadlocked soldiers, higher than a kite, will look Hip Hopping down Pennsylvania Ave. I tell you it will be a sight. P.S. Don’t give up your guns…

Teddy

What you are is shouting is so loud I can’t hear what you’re saying. Even harder to shake is the image, in my mind, of you swimming away from the sinking car while the poor girl is calling out for help.  Dying hero with a brain tumor? I don’t think so. Privileged do-nothing living on his brother’s coat-tails is more like it.

the family getogether

Whoever was responsible for that portrait of the “aren’t we just the greatest family ever?” scene at the DNC last evening ought to be terminated.  Where was the Cocker Spaniel?

Some things worth noting

Read the other day that So. Dak. was bragging of their astuteness in importing pheasants 100 yrs. ago. They started with six birds from China and now estimate there are 12 mill. or so. Last year the hunting of those birds brought expenditures of $219,000.000 by pheasant hunters to the state. Why does No. Dak. practically ignore this wonderful source of revenue to the small towns scattered in southern N. D. particularly?  And to those who think all hunting is ungodly, screw you.  Some of the finest days I’ve spent on this earth were walking cornfields, and such, in search of the birds.
