Rush’s voter fraud?

Is this “voter fraud” any more than labeling all conservatives as rich, polluting, racist fat cats is?

http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2008/03/28/JAIL_RUSH.ART_ART_03-28-08_A8_HV9P3PM.html?type=rss&cat=&sid=101

And the typical liberal argument-by-insult:

“We have no intention of prosecuting Rush Limbaugh because lying through your teeth and being stupid isn’t a crime,” said Leo Jennings, a spokesman for Democratic Attorney General Marc Dann.

Another goldie:

When asked whether she has concerns about what Limbaugh did, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, replied, “I think it’s very bad form, but I think most voters are intelligent enough to make their own decisions.”

No, most voters aren’t intelligent enough, but they tend to be gullible enough. If all voters were truly intelligent, wise, and informed, as opposed to emotionally malleable, the Democratic party wouldn’t exist.

That’s right, I said it.

On the defensive

Has anyone else noticed that Obama & Clinton seem to be on the defensive? With NAFTA doublespeak, Wright, past records of Senate voting, Hillary’s left-center-right-left swings (we in the know realize she was always “left”; sadly, she’s to the right of Comrade Obama), criminalism, et al., this duo makes Kucinich look flawless.

Spreading stupidity should be a crime.

http://polidics.com/cia/top-ranking-cia-operatives-admit-al-qaeda-is-a-complete-fabrication.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Qaeda

Even if Al-Q were “made up”,  the timeframe is before Bush was even considering a run for president; but, of course, he invented it to prosecute the “bad guy of their choice”.

So let’s get this straight. Bush, the idiot, illegitimate president, teamed up with Clinton and his Administration. Becoming pals with the man that had ended his father’s presidency, the simpleton younger Bush came up with a devious plot to someday try to arrest someone (bin Laden) who was then a very low-profile local terrorist wannabe (kind of like now). Bush had the foresight to know that bin Laden would someday orchestrate a massive organization that he could bid his presidency on, so he brainstormed with Bubba, who surely wanted his pal GWB to be president instead of his own AlGore, to invent this organization, so future prosecutions could ensue. Bubba, to throw us commoners off the trail, endorsed AlGore over GWB to help in a close, contested election, since the wise sage Maharishi Gore would never go along with such a devious plot, as it would interrupt his own mission of saving the world.
All of this before the massive attack happened, and while not basing his first campaign on terrorism, again, I suppose, just to hoodwink us, and then lauch the 9/11 attacks himself (all while being an idiot, of course).

Makes perfect sense, now that I’ve typed it out. I think there’s a Follett novel in there, too.

Fight the power!!!!

Collective Morning Stomachache

“NORMAN, Okla. —  A jury recommended the death penalty Friday for a man convicted of luring a 10-year-old girl into his apartment, killing her and mutilating her body.

Jurors deliberated for nearly 8 1/2 hours before recommending that Kevin Underwood, 28, be put to death for killing Jamie Rose Bolin. He was convicted last week of first-degree murder.

Underwood, who showed no emotion as the verdict was read, was handcuffed and led from the courtroom while 10 armed deputies stood guard. He is scheduled to be formally sentenced on April 3.

His mother, Connie Underwood, sobbed quietly after the verdict was announced.

Jamie’s father, Curtis Bolin, had little to say. “I still have to absorb it,” he said, overcome with emotion.

During closing arguments, prosecutors argued that Underwood should be put to death because he is plagued by deviant sexual fantasies that make him want to kill, rape, torture and eat his victims.

Jurors also had the option of sentencing Underwood to life in prison, either with or without the possibility of parole. For him to be sentenced to death, prosecutors needed to prove either that he is a continuing threat to society or that the crime was heinous, atrocious and cruel.

ShoeMart’s Morning Stomachache

HUTCHINSON, Kan.  —  A Hutchinson man is on trial this week on charges he put his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son in a hot clothes dryer.

In a videotaped interview with detectives shown in court Wednesday, Aron Pritchard said he put the children in the dryer to show them they could have a good time without much money. An hour later, the dryer had become hot and the boy had second-degree burns.

Pritchard told the detective that he didn’t mean for the boy to get hurt.

Jurors also heard from a pediatrician who testified that the burns, combined with prior injuries including a twice-broken clavicle, could indicate an abusive environment.

Pritchard is charged with aggravated child endangerment and child abuse in the Nov. 28, 2006incident.

“An hour later”!!!
and
“could indicate an abusive environment” - do ya think?

ShoeMart’s Morning Nugget

To win an election, a conservative must educate the most voters.

To win an election, a liberal must fool the most voters.

And, as we all know, it’s easier to fool someone than to educate. God help us. . .

35 Years Experience

Has anyone else become loath to again hear of Hil’s “35 years of experience”? The more she says it, the more I reflect on those 35 years.

Drafting a smear campaign against Nixon (no points proven, many disproven).
Shady cattle futures deals in which she recorded windfall profit percentages not even attainable by experienced lifetime investors.
Shady real estate deals.
Being second fiddle to a corrupt governor and corrupt and inept president (actually third or fourth fiddle, but we’ll stay with the official record).
Cleaning out entire staffs not normally appointed by a president, let alone first “lady”, locally and nationally, in favor of shady accomplices that all called in their favors.
Stealing taxpayer property from the White House.
1+ term as a Senator - a position she only attained due to Giuliani’s cancer (second fiddle again).

Where is this leadership experience? She seemingly has only criminal and tearing-down experience, and is only in her current position due to life-threatening disease and name-recognition.

It’s odd how Nixon and Bush are considered criminal nemeses to the left, when, in fact, their records are very clean, especially compared to the Clintoni crime family.

New voting age - 25

I think the voting amendment should be abolished; the voting age should be 25.
With the exception of soldiers (inc. Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, and Air Force), the under-25 population is largely ignorant.
The reason is that armed forces fellas grow up a lot faster; our college kids seem to get the news from other sources (the worst part is that they believe it).
I know when I was 24 I was a political idiot.

Most of the “youngsters” get their info from “The Onion” or, even worse, the “NYT”, via various outlets. They have no idea what it’s like to actually maintain an income, family, and necessary interpersonal relationships.

Do they remember the Clinton years? Do they remember that it was a Republican Congress that initiated entitlement reform, thus reigning spending (GWB & McC, take heed), and stimulating the economy?
No. They remember Bill gettin’ lucky, and that’s way cool, huh, huh.
And now they can vote.

Of course, it’s not all-inclusive that youngsters are petrified by knowledge. But, it’s in the 90-th percentile.

Write-in? C’mon!

I originally posted this on the Bismarck-Mandan blog:

C’mon; you can’t be that childish, can you?

“My guy didn’t win, so I’ll vote for their guy; or cast my vote for Marty McFly.”

That’s like saying the Nazis didn’t win, but I’ll vote for the Imperial Japanese; or, at least, Mao.

I don’t want to start a kerfluffle here, but didn’t you state that Christianity is your most important factor ((I’m not into identity-based voting, but Christianity trumps any other principles.))?

Please check McCain’s record on abortion, same-sex marriage, church/state separation (the misinterpretaion of that amendment). . .

McCain is the most Christian candidate there has been in this ordeal.

His record on immigration is “spotty”.

His intentions with McCain/Feingold were good; he’s since regretted that bill - (strike 2, I know).

His opposition to Bush’s tax cuts are excused, since he wanted a decrease in government spending to accompany them - how is that a liberal position, again?

He’ll get my vote; I don’t expect that you’ll agree with him on all issues (I sure don’t), but I expect you’ll vote for him when it comes time. McCain’s my guy; however, if he doesn’t/hadn’t gotten the nomination, I would still vote for the GOP nominee; to not would be out of spite, plain & simple. (more...)

Time Magazine’s “Love” report

I tried to send this to Time’s editors, but got rejected for some reason. Hmmm. . .

This references Time’s article in their “love” issue:

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1704692,00.html

My e-letter:

I found the article “Crazy Love” by Steven Pinker very enlightening; however, his concluding paragraphs lacked substance beyond statistics.

“A desperate lover in danger of being abandoned may resort to threatening his wife or girlfriend (yes, his; it’s usually a man).”

To insinuate that it is mostly men that are capable of making threats, and I’m sure he meant physical, is incongruous with modern life; not explicitly stating that physicality is the subject implies that most threats of abuse are by men.

Threats of lawsuits, the implication of a woman leaving (most likely with the kid(s)), the loss of all financial (and possibly emotional) support previously provided, not to mention the existence of laws that make receivers of frivoulous and vengeful physical or sexual abuse accusations “guilty until proven innocent”, all make for a stew of emotions that can only qualify as assault, for your motif of emotions of love to be consistent.

Obviously, I don’t condone assault or abuse of any kind, but I would trade a whoopin’ by a gang of thugs with bats for the opportunity to see my eldest daughter without the emotional strain her “mother” (twice convicted of fraud, once of defrauding a church; several times shown to be lying to law enforcement; and 2 prison sentences - she retains custody) has wrought on me.

I am in a 11+ year relationship, with one very well-balanced daughter, and a son on the way. Our home would be a nurturing environment for my eldest, as opposed to a home with the “dad” that her mother is currently sleeping with.

But, of course, the mother is always best, right?

Open letters. . .

Open (though brief) letters to the Republican contenders:

Mr. Huckabee: I admire your evangelical roots, but I don’t believe you for a second, considering your pro-tax and pro-“health” positions. You are clearly for greater government intervention, therfore, not conservative.

Mr. Romney: I like your style, but why did you have to pick a pretty-boy, non-effective President to model yourself after? I’m Catholic, and I can think of several no-no’s in your speech (but us Catholics are always prone to no-no’s, right?) The fact that you think you needed a speech was my no-no to you.

Mr. Guiliani: Cheating? I hate it, but humans ‘r’ human, eh? Good thing you’re not running for the NOW presidency. . .  I love your leadership abilities, but you’ve got nuttin’ on McCain, my pal. Maybe you can be McCain’s VP.

Which brings me to. . . McCain.
When it really comes down to it, John McCain has been tested on his views for several years; some good, some poopy. On leadership, he’s 100%

In this “best of the rest” push for a proper candidate, let’s consider the options, especially in our time:
The only candidates with leadership skills befitting a Pres. are Guiliani & McCain.
I also dig the Fred Thompson, but that ship has likely sailed. . .

ShoeMart sez:
McCain
Giuliani (VP)

Reagan held his principles close to his heart, and I beieve these two would try to be close.

Looks good so far. . .

Free Image Hosting at allyoucanupload.com

A ten million dollar project to build a new marina on Lake Sakakawea has begun.
-KXNews

Oh, that’s why. . .

An obvious free-thinker posted this bulletin on MySpace:

"The stuff I’ve been reading points to Hillary’s lawyers keeping volunteers from looking over the counting. This hurts both Obama and Ron Paul. Anyone keeping up knows she shouldn’t have won last night.

http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/New_Hampshire_District_Admits_Ron_Paul_Vote_Skew

there’s some seriously fishy shit going on, people. This is just one town with about 1700 people in it. Imagine the other “miscounts” that weren’t reported."

This clearly explains Paul’s 29-point deficit. HilBill is keeping his supporters from having their votes counted.

Of course, Ron Paul being the Republican nominee would be a wet dream for HilBill, so maybe this story holds water. . .
