I have been off of here for awhile.
It started when I had to have some surgery in September and then moved to The Mojave Desert in November.
The surgery was for kidney cancer. I had a tumor found on the left one in early September. On the morning of the 21st of September it came out. We didn’t know it was cancer until the pathology was done. Quite the experience, I must say.

I had been hired by the AF at Edwards AFB prior to this and was to be there on the 14th of September. They were OK with moving the start date back until November.
Yeah, I am a civil servant in the Air Force. It was a status opening. The first was up to 30 percent service-connected disabled. And the US Navy Retired part didn’t hurt either. Don’t hold the CinC against me. I have done more for the Republic in a day than Barry O and the band of liars, thieves and cheaters have done in their collective lives.

The first one started out as a journal and chronicle of the cancer thing. And the other one is a tad more civil in nature. Give them a look. That is all I ask.

I went to the urologist yesterday. The kidney is going to come out. The tumor is located in such a manner that trying to get it alone is risky. It is next to the artery. But it was found early enough that after the kidney is gone, I will be full systems up.
Sounds a bit crazy but I feel pretty good!

I went to see my doc yesterday for some digestive tract issues, a fever and headaches. Got blood and urine work. Then the CT scan, where the fun begins. They found a spot/tumor on the left kidney, of substantial size. The specialist visit is next Thursday. If this were to have happened under obambozo-pelousy care, I would probably be told to go home and eat pain killers. I’m just a few days shy of 55. That is on the backside of the “quality” curve as defined by the leftards. And the bastards want to take that away or tax it to cover the illegals and those who make welfare their occupation.
Being on unemployment that will run out in 3 weeks makes it all more interesting. I do have health coverage due to my 20 years of Naval Service.
And I was due to start a new job on the 14th at Edwards AFB as a DOD civilian. It took 6 months after getting laid off at an aircraft manufacturer in Wichita. So that will probably go by the wayside.
It is a 6-8 week recovery period after surgery. Even the Air Force won’t wait that long.

Just saw on Foxnews.com where Joe the Gaffe Machine said the administration “misread” the economy. No s***, joe. Most of you in the upper levels of government couldn’t figure out that it was the “superiority” of the democrats and rinos in congress that got this mess started. And thinking that tossing out 787 BILLION dollars would fix it overnight. It doesn’t work that way. And now with the proposed taxing of health care benefits, crap and tax to “save” the envrionment and the taxing of everything else, it will get worse, far worse.
Misread and mismanaged would be far more accurate. But the new CinC is beholding to those who got him and the cronies the jobs they now hold.
I do believe that in the next two elections in 2010 and 2012 payback will be there in spades.

To all from Kansas, I sincerely apologize for the impending confirmation of Kathleen Sibelius as HHS Secretary. Our problem is going to be the Republic’s problem.
Once confirmed, the talking heads at our local news outlets will be having conditions similar to the MSM had at the election/coronation/ascension of Obambozo. It won’t be pretty.

It made it through both houses of congress. Stand the F*** by. The Old Retired Petty Officer is working up a letter to the editor of the local fishwrap, AKA The Wichita Eagle. It will need serious editing before submission due to having to clean out the cuss words.
Just a note to all in the obambozo youth. Don’t show up at my door. Take that any way you would like. And leave my kids and grandkids alone. Actions do have consequences. My fun consequence is a metal Louisville Slugger.

The Global War On Terror is just that. Not overseas contigency operations. It is a WAR. Nuff said.

From Wichita, Kansas, I send my deepest apologies to the rest of The United States for what will be laid upon them in the form of the new HHS secretary. One Kathleen Sebelius, who is somewhere out there in Left Field. All you have to do is a little research into her take parnets rights kick and you will get the picture. I am glad she isn’t the governor anymore but now it gets bad for the pro-life supporters across the entire Nation.
So, again. I am very sorry for this to have happened.

In case anybody is interested. Bill Faith who was the wonderful wit and humour over at Old War Dogs has passed on as the result of a heart attack.
Bill was a grunt. He knew the horrors of war first hand. He also had a deep faith that shoed in his humour. To a lot of us who served, he will be sorely missed.

At 1214 hours Eastern Standard Time today, the USS George H. W. Bush was commissioned into active service as a unit of The United States Atlantic Fleet. It is a notable occasion being the ship’s namesake was present at the ceremony. She will be a strong presence for many years to come. To All Hands, Welcome.
On January 31 the ship the Bush will be replacing will be decommissioned at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington. I made one full deployment and one partial deployment aboard the “Hawk” in The Argonauts of Attack Squadron One Four Seven. The full cruise was around the world, 3 January to 30 June 1987. She was not the last ship I went to sea on but the last one I made a deployment on. As is with things changes do come. However, now all three of the carriers I made deployments on are now gone from service. There are times I still miss going to sea on vessels such as Independence CV62, Ranger CV61 and Kitty Hawk CV63. Alot of you would not understand that and I don’t expect you to. Shipmate is a term that has been used loosely in the past. But Shipmates are there when you need them.

The two of my kids here in the Wichita Area will be here tomorrow with the grandkids. The other grandparents in other towns get today and that is great!. Because tomorrow, The Missus Old Retired Petty Officer and I get all six!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is the first Christmas since 1982 when we put two households together that there will be just the two of us. And busy we will be. Getting ready for tomorrow.

Well, I figured I would cool down by the weekend. Guess what, It didn’t happen.
I will not hide the fact that I cannot stand Barack Hussein Obama(Traitor-Ilinois). What really galls me is that somewhere around 63 million of MY OWN COUNTRYMEN took a dump on every man and woman who has ever served this nation honorably in uniform. That is Active, Reserve, Guard, Retired and those who simply did a hitch and who separated for whatever reason. A DD-214 with anything other than honorable does not count. That would put the holder of the bad paper in the same grouping as the incoming CINC. That being a waste of human genetic material.
Those of us who have over the years given to this nation, freely in uniform should always remember that without us, the empty suit would not have had the chance to screw things up as he is going to do.
I was one of those from the end of Vietnam to the drawdown after Desert Storm I. It was called the Cold War. And believe me folks, there are a LOT of us out there. I feel as though we are almost forgotten for what we did. In my case, it was 6 deployments. And one of them, thanks to jimmy carter cost me a marriage. Hazzard of the profession.
I was on Shore Duty at NAS Whidbey Island, WA when the shooting started in Desert Storm in 1991. The local NBC station KING ended a segment with some lefty, anti, save me, you can’t go to war scumbag in the fetal position on the sidewalk in front the The United States Courthouse in Seattle. He was crying like a little kid. A Grown Man!!!!!!!!!
Now we have a nation full of people like this.
To them, I say: you will get exactly what you asked for on this go around. As for me, I intend to become the loyal opposition, loyal to my country and in opposition to obama, biden, pelosi, reid, boxer, feinstein and those two sluts from Washington. The list does go on…......

To break the endless election talk, I want to focus on something else.
Who was the lame brain that decided it was a good idea to put mayo on a burger. OK, it has no flavour. zip. zilch. nada. If white goop is the thing, then Miracle Whip or Nalley’s Tang. But Mayo??????? For crying out loud.
I hit a Wendy’s this evening and the no mayo on it elisted a confused look from the teeny bopper with 6 different hair colours and a piece of steel in her nose. I had to do the I say again routine.
When I was a youngster, a burger came with ketchup and pickles. Onnions and lettuce made it a Hamburger DeLuxe. Ah, what a simpler time.
