CNN appears to have released a highly edited version of the Obama assassin story, leaving out the fact that Bush was a target as well. But, as my notes at the bottom indicate, including Bush would have ruined the story from CNN’s perspective.

A man is being held in Florida on charges he threatened to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, according to court documents.
An affidavit filed by a Secret Service agent in U.S. District Court claims that Raymond Hunter Geisel, of Marathon, Florida, threatened to “kill, kidnap and cause bodily harm upon a major candidate for president of the United States, that is, Senator Barack Obama.”

The affidavit says Geisel made the threats while attending a bail bondsman training class in Miami.

During an interview with the Secret Service, Geisel denied threatening Obama, but told agents that “if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he would simply shoot him with a sniper rifle.”

He later said that comment was a joke, the agent said in the document.

A man who authorities said was keeping weapons and military-style gear in his hotel room and car appeared in court Thursday on charges he threatened to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Raymond Hunter Geisel, 22, was arrested by the Secret Service on Saturday in Miami and was ordered held at Miami’s downtown detention center without bail Thursday by a federal magistrate.

A Secret Service affidavit charges that Geisel made the threat during a training class for bail bondsmen in Miami in late July. According to someone else in the 48-member class, Geisel allegedly referred to Obama with a racial epithet and continued, “If he gets elected, I’ll assassinate him myself.”

Obama was most recently in Florida on Aug. 1-2 but did not visit the South Florida area.

Another person in the class quoted Geisel as saying that “he hated George W. Bush and that he wanted to put a bullet in the president’s head,” according to the Secret Service.

Geisel denied in a written statement to a Secret Service agent that he ever made those threats, and the documents don’t indicate that he ever took steps to carry out any assassination. He was charged only with threatening Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, but not for any threat against President Bush.

Geisel’s court-appointed attorney declined comment.

In the interview with a Secret Service agent, Geisel said “if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he simply would shoot him with a sniper rifle, but then he claimed that he was just joking,” according to court documents.

A search of Geisel’s 1998 Ford Explorer and hotel room in Miami uncovered a loaded 9mm handgun, knives, dozens of rounds of ammunition including armor-piercing types, body armor, military-style fatigues and a machete. The SUV was wired with flashing red and yellow emergency lights.

Geisel told the Secret Service he was originally from Bangor, Maine, and had been living recently in a houseboat in the Florida Keys town of Marathon, according to court documents. He said he used the handgun for training for the bail bondsman class, had the knives for protection and used the machete to cut brush in Maine.

In the affidavit, the Secret Service said Geisel told agents that he suffered from psychiatric problems including post-traumatic stress disorder, but he couldn’t provide the names of any facilities where he sought treatment.

CNN played on the fears of the people, hoping to portray this nutcase as a Right Wing Conservative and Obama another potential JFK, RFK or MLK; but, the truth is this nut wanted to shoot Bush as well and that would not fit into the Victimization of Obama by a Right Wing Nut that CNN clearly intended.

Yes, Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown is at it again. He is using the top law enforcement office in the state to promote his extreme liberal political agenda. He deliberately, in violation of state law, reworded the ballot initiative to amend the California Constitution to make marriage only between one man to one woman, saying in the title that it eliminates the right of homosexuals to marry.

Election ballot titles should be neutral and not intentionally prejudice voters,” said Joseph Infranco, a senior counsel with the Alliance Defense Fund, whose lawyers are representing Protect Marriage. “The ballot title is argumentative and not impartial.”

The issue is the attorney general’s sudden recent decision to change the ballot title on Proposition 8, also known as the California Marriage Protection Act, from a “limit” on marriage to a description that alleges it “eliminates the right of same-sex couples to marry.”

California Law requires that the titles of ballot initiatives be neutral, not appearing to support or be against the initiative. But, in Califoirnia the law is the handmaiden of the Democrat Party and the courts usually rubber stamp whatever Democrats do in this state.

A lower court judge today upheld the “biased” wording, and ADF officials said their appeal “will ask the California Court of Appeal to order the attorney general to comply with state election law that requires that the ballot title be fair and unbiased.”

The AG’s job is to apply the law in a way that’s fair to all Californians, not in a way that influences elections. We will immediately appeal the ruling because the purpose of this amendment is to protect marriage broadly as the union of one man and one woman,” Infranco said.

More than a million Californians signed official petitions containing the original ballot title language to put the Proposition 8 constitutional amendment on the November ballot.

If approved by voters, Prop 8 would add the following words to California’s constitution: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.”

Worse Brown doesn’t care if the voters amend the constitution:

“He already has taken a position, however, saying that in his opinion the same-sex “weddings” performed between their creation by the state Supreme Court in a sharply divided opinion on May 15 and the November election would remain valid even if voters approve the ban.

The November election could overturn the Supreme Court’s opinion that an earlier voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage wasn’t valid.

“I believe that marriages that have been entered into subsequent to the (May 15) Supreme Court opinion will be recognized by the California Supreme Court,” Brown told the San Francisco Chronicle.

We are no longer a nation or in this case a state ruled by Law, legislatures, mayors, governors and other officials are free to disregard the expressed will of the people with the blessing of the courts.

Legislators tell school kids to celebrate homosexuality

It is hard to imagine, but the extreme Left Coast (California) is trying to pass a law celebrating a sexual lifestyle choice. Yes, they wrap it around so-called positive homosexual contributions, but this is the first time in America that a sexual lifestyle, a perverted one at that, is cause for statewide celebration.

Only a year after banning all negative messages about homosexuality in public schools throughout the state, the California Legislature now is ordering school children to celebrate “gay” lifestyle choices.

“If signed into law, AB 2567 will mean an official day commemorating homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality in California government schools,” said Randy Thomasson, president of the Campaign for Children and Families.

“This will harm children as young as kindergarten,” he said. “Every May 22, AB 2567 will positively portray to children homosexual experimentation, homosexual ‘marriages,’ sex-change operations, and anything else that’s ‘in the closet.’ Gov. Schwarzenegger should say no to this very inappropriate bill, which has nothing to do with academic excellences.”

Thomasson said the passage by lawmakers of AB 2567 will require all California public schools to “conduct suitable commemorative exercises” in honor of the anti-religious (anti-Christian), sexual-anarchy agenda of Harvey Milk, the late San Francisco supervisor who was a homosexual activist.

The California Assembly approved the plan 43-26 and the Senate 22-13, with both votes along party lines of Democrats supporting the homosexual agenda.

“AB 2567 will further motivate parents to remove their children from the immoral public school system,” he said. “We’re encouraging parents to visit RescueYourChild.org to learn how to save their children while they still can.

“With public schools becoming sexual indoctrination centers, homeschooling and church schools are no longer parental options, they’re parental imperatives,” he said.

“This is yet another example of the campaign to normalize homosexual behavior not just in schools, but in our culture,” stated Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute. “Young children will be forced to celebrate the life of a man whose claim to fame is his sexual orientation.”

“Parents should be outraged that California’s lawmakers want their children to spend a whole day celebrating homosexuality instead of studying important subjects like math or science,” stated Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Family Impact. “Every parent and student should call Governor Schwarzenegger and tell him to veto AB 2567.”

It is outrageous, it is a full force attack on family values, on the Christian church and it represents sexual (homosexual) indoctrination at all grade levels, and it further promotes the idea that anyone opposing the homosexual agenda are hate merchants and criminals.

Actor and comedian Bernie Mac dies at age 50

CHICAGO — Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper “Ocean’s Eleven” and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom “The Bernie Mac Show,” died Saturday at age 50.

“Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital,” his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.

She said no other details were available and asked that his family’s privacy be respected.

The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.

Recently, Mac’s brand of comedy caught him flack when he was heckled during a surprise appearance at a July fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate and fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama.

Toward the end of a 10-minute standup routine, Mac joked about menopause, sexual infidelity and promiscuity, and used occasional crude language. The performance earned him a rebuke from Obama’s campaign.

He was not one of the great comedians of all time, he was just a funny guy that could make you laugh. I really enjoyed “Guess Who” with Ashton Kuchner.

Sad to see any life cut so short!

Rowan Williams, the Artchbishop of Canterbury, denies the very Christian faith he is supposed to represent, by revealing in private letters that he finds covenanted, loving gay relationships comparable to heterosexual marriage.

Rowan Williams believes that gay sexual relationships can “reflect the love of God” in a way that is comparable to marriage, The Times has learnt.

Gay partnerships pose the same ethical questions as those between men and women, and the key issue for Christians is that they are faithful and lifelong, he believes.

Dr Williams is known to be personally liberal on the issue but the strength of his views, revealed in private correspondence shown to The Times, will astonish his critics.

The news threatens to reopenbitter divisions over ordaining gay priests, which pushed the Anglican Communion towards a split.

Notice he has no Scriptural foundation for his beliefs, rather his emotions, his feelings are of greater value/importance to him than what God’s Word, as in the Epistle to the Romans, Chapter One clearly declares; that being, God condemns men that lie with men or women that lie with women, burning in their flesh in sexual lust for one another. Williams has to deny God’s Word in order to promote a personal belief. Then, coward that he is, he does so privately, while in public supporting the Scriptural teachings against homosexual conduct. He cannot even be honest about his beliefs, he must say one thing in public and deny that very thing in private, making him a liar as well as an apostate.

Along with two other stories I’ve posted today, it is clear that a tiny minority of people are able to pervert the will of the voters, to violate the laws on public decency and even subvert some elements of the alleged Church in pursuit of their cleatly evil and terribly harmful gay agenda. Jesus said that people would, in the latter days, have open contempt, hatred of Divine Truth and here it is!

San Francisco fest features public sex with no arrests
‘This is what the gay agenda is all about’

Nude men engaged in multiple instances of public sex on a municipal street while police officers, on foot and bicycle, congregated nearby making no attempt to enforce public indecency regulations, according to a report on the latest homosexual-fest in San Francisco.

The behavior was documented in photographs of an event called “Up Your Alley,” which is sponsored by the same group that organizes the city’s fall “gay”-fest, the Folsom Street Fair, on which WND has reported.

“Consider how liberal government authorities like Mayor [Gavin] Newsom have corrupted the men in blue by stipulating that police not prosecute public nudity and indecency at homosexual festivals,” said a report from Americans for Truth on the graphic activities documented at the event.

“What honor can there be in protecting the public practice of heinous perversions and nudity in the city’s streets? The shame of pandering politicians is transferred to the cops who were intended to be guardians of the law and public order,” said the organizer’s chief, Peter LaBarbera.

LaBarbera, who had to edit photos to conceal full nudity in images from the public street festival before he could post them as part of his report, said there were exhibitionists who “walked around baring their genitals, with no fear of being arrested.” Other websites, to which WND is unable to link because of their graphic content, published fully explicit photographs of various public acts of sex and nudity. They featured explicit photographs of oral and anal sex between men and men urinating on each other, among other activities.

How far have we as a people fallen morally and spiritually? One need only visit S.F. most days, especially during so-called Gay Pride events and witness Sodom and Gomorrah American style. As in the days of Babel, we see that there is no perversion or wickedness which man can conceive of which man will not commit and which so called good people will not approve. What a sad state we are in and when Judgment falls on this country, as it surely will, all we will hear is crying and moaning and not one word of genuine repentance.

Lawmakers’ work thwarting voters
Social agenda issues declared ‘emergency’ plans.

Legislators in Massachusetts, Colorado and elsewhere are using an “Emergency Act” to enact laws and obstruct the initiative process and frustrate the will of the voters. It is a cold, calculated move to pervert the democratic process to satisfy a small, narrow minority agenda.

State lawmakers, determined to accomplish their social agenda goals to promote homosexuality, apparently have taken steps recently to prevent voters from overturning their work.

Lawmakers in Massachusetts recently approved a plan to repeal a 1913 law that prevented same-sex duos from out of state traveling to Massachusetts to get “married” under that state’s procedures, then returning home with their new “marriage” certificate.

Then they approved it again.

Why? Officials with Mass Resistance, a pro-family advocacy group, explained.

“In an incredible move, on Wednesday afternoon, July 31, the House and Senate both quickly re-passed the bill again – this time with special ‘emergency act’ language to thwart the referendum process,” the organization said on its website.

It is an emergency to prevent discrimination, or so they say:

The action apparently mimicked a move by the Colorado Legislature only a few weeks earlier on a so-called “gender-perception” anti-discrimination plan that critics have argued now outlaws the publication of the Bible in the state.

The possibility of discrimination, according to Colorado lawmakers, was such that it presented a threat to the state, so it was determined to be an “emergency” measure, preventing a challenge by voters.

Frustrating voters and denying them a voice:

during the day on Wednesday the House and Senate leadership both re-passed it! They rammed the bill through with the new language to thwart a referendum petition. Why now?” MassResistance asked.

Billionaire and millionaire Gay activists have bought or are busy buying your legislators. Money is the mothers milk of politics and the politicians with a lust for power, with rare exceptions, have no core moral-spiritual values, they only want to get elected and cash in on the ‘business’ of legislating.

I must add that like those advocating legalization of drugs, calling it a states rights issue, should wake up and realize that states like Massachusetts are passing laws for the entire nation. With this current legislation, homosexuals from throughout the country can get married in their state, go home to their own state that does not permit homosexual marriage and under ‘full faith and credit,’ demand those states recognize their marriages and provide them with all the benefits that are now granted to heterosexual marriages. States rights no longer exist at all!

‘Digger’ Dowling, the war legend who inspired The Great Escape, dies, aged 92

A war hero whose tunnel-digging exploits inspired the classic film The Great Escape has died, aged 92. Airman Eric “Digger” Dowling was shot down during night-time operations in April 1942 and imprisoned in Stalag Luft III, becoming a legend thanks to his role in the breakout.

But the Second World War veteran survived his ordeal and died in his nursing home just one day short of his 93rd birthday last month, it emerged

Mr Dowling, from Bristol, carved out tunnels, forged documents and prepared maps for the real-life escape which inspired the 1963 film.

But his son revealed today that the father-of-two “wasn’t a fan” of the Steve McQueen epic, and thought the famous motorbike scene - which never happened - was “well over the top”.

Mr Dowling had three roles in the March 1944 escape plan, led by PoW Roger Bushell - document-forger, map-maker and, of course, tunnel-digger.

The scheme involved hollowing out three tunnels, codenamed Tom, Dick and Harry, with each entrance carefully selected to ensure it was not spotted by guards.

Tunnelling was dangerous and the roofs could cave in without warning. Despite this, Digger was not one of the men selected for the final breakout. In January 1945 the camp was evacuated because of the Russian advance and the men were marched to a second camp where they were liberated later that year.

They just don’t make many of them like this anymore! He was a notable member of “The Greatest Generation.” I found it fascinating that he played a bigger role in “The Great Escape” than the movie gave him credit for, which is typical of Hollywood rewrites of history.

Every man and woman that admires courage and daring should pause and give the guy a hand salute on this the day of his departure from this life. I know I do!

China has made headlines in its efforts to clean smog from Beijing’s Olympic skies, but word is leaking out that the government is also making efforts to clean Christians out of the streets as the games draw near.

“There’s been a dramatic rise in cases of persecution that we’ve seen in the months leading up to the Olympics,” a staff writer for China Aid Association, Daniel Burton, told WND. “We’ve received reports that the government wants to eradicate the house church before the start of the Olympics.”

China Aid Association, an organization dedicated to helping persecuted Christians and founded by a man who escaped from China after being imprisoned for teaching Bible classes, maintains ties with China’s underground church. Those sources tell CAA that state police have taken up a new tactic: compelling discovered house church Christians in the Beijing area to sign a covenant promising not to meet from July 30 to Sept. 30, the time period the Olympics and Paralympics are being held in the city.

“Reports come from house church members who have been persecuted, and we have direct contact with them,” Burton told WND. “Police are making people sign the covenant then taking it away, so we can’t get our hands on the actual document. But it’s been reported from people that police are making them sign the covenant not to meet.”

Burton told WND that in most cases, the Beijing Public Security Bureau uses the same terror-raid tactics to stifle free associations of Christians in what the government calls the “unregistered church”: Police storm a building where a house church is meeting, arrest the pastor, disband the members and warn them not to meet again.

The government has been finding these house churches, knocking down the doors, arresting the pastors, beating and interrogating members of the church – all illegal according to China’s own religious laws – in order to get these people shut down,” Burton told WND

Christian persecution, torture and murder is not uncommon in the P.R.C., when I went there quite often in the eighties and nineties, there were often stories even in the Chinese media of Christians being shot down like dogs in the streeet in inland provinces. But, it ought to give President Bush some tiny pause on his journey to Beijing to realize that fellow Christians are being persecuted by the same government he intends to honor during his visit. Perhaps not though, after all Christians are fastly becoming the enemy of the state here and like is comon among Jews, they too are being killed around the world like so many rabid dogs.

‘Miracle’: Strangers bring drowned girl back to life.

Witness says, ‘I saw it within a foot of me, that child was dead’

Florida mother experienced what she is calling a miracle when her young daughter was presumed drowned in a pool, and three strangers brought the girl back to life.

Meagan Durocher, who will turn 2 later this month, fell into a pool at Bristol Pines in Naples, Fla., Saturday evening while attending a party for her uncle, Naples Police Officer Steve Walden.

The girl was underwater for more than a minute, according to one witness. Kathlene Durocher, Meagan’s mother thanked Naples Police Officer Benjamin Vasquez, one of the people who immediately came to the child’s aid, but has been unable to identify the other two helpers.

“They were complete strangers to me,” Durocher said yesterday in an interview with the Naples Daily News. “I don’t know who it was. I want to meet them because they saved the life of my beautiful, almost 2-year-old baby.”

Kathlene’s sister pulled Meagan out of the pool and brought her to a table. Party-goers began performing CPR on the child, but she did not respond.

“I saw it within a foot of me, that child was dead,” Walden said. “The child was purple (with) swelled eyes and swelled black lips.”

According to Vasquez, who was off-duty at the time, Meagan wasn’t breathing and didn’t have a pulse, but he proceeded to perform CPR, even though he never had on a child before.

“She was purple as a grape,” he said. “It was amazing.”

Vasquez performed chest compressions but was unable to move in close enough to breathe for the child. He yelled for help, and a man and women that people are calling angels came to the rescue. The man breathed for Meagan while the woman took her pulse for about three minutes until the girl began breathing on her own and spitting up water.

“I was hysterical, and someone came up to me and said ‘Look at her, she’s up,’” Durocher said.

Now most people, even at SAB, will ridicule this story and insist there are natural explanations. Many liberals would want to sue the man and woman involved in the rescue for practicing medicine without a license; but a dear atheist friend of mine, a doctor, some years ago saw a young girl hit by a car, after a quick examination he was ready to declare her dead at the scene, all the clinical signs indicated death. For some reason he did not understand at the time, this atheist said aloud, “Lord if you exist bring this child back to life.” The next second and the girl took a deep breath and was not only alive, she was discharged to home that night. So, my point is, I believe in miracles and whether these people were angels in disguise or just normal people that mysteriously appeared and disappeared, only staying around long enouigh to assist in the rescue, this seems like another geniune miracle.

Builder sent to jail for flood mitigation

This kind of thing drives me crazy! Citizens, even when going the extra mile to make sure they do not violate any federal regulations can still go to jail for violating regulations that do not exist.

An Idaho man is being sent to prison for meeting his local government’s demands during a subdivision development to fix a drainage problem that periodically had left the town of Driggs flooded, after federal officials then said their regulations banned such work.

The dire situation for developer Lynn Moses is being publicized by Bryan Fischer, the chief of Idaho Values Alliance, who said the “crime” for which Moses has been sentenced to 18 months in prison was, “Protecting the city of Driggs from flooding.”

Moses’ lawyer, Blake Atkin of Salt Lake City, confirmed the circumstances of the case, explaining that although the federal government repeatedly has denied having jurisdiction over the work involved, an opinion shared by the U.S. Supreme Court, Moses nevertheless was convicted on charges relating to his work on the streambed of Teton Creek, an intermittent runoff channel that has water in it for probably eight weeks out of the year.

“Worse, Mr. Moses has been convicted of ‘pollut(ing) a spawning area for Yellowstone cutthroat trout,’ despite the fact that there have been no fish in this stream bed for more than 150 years,” Fischer wrote. “[A resident] who has lived near the flood channel for 18 years, says he has never seen fish in this stream bed. And it’s not even possible for the stream bed to serve as a spawning ground since it only has water two months out of every year in the first place.”

Moses hired an engineer and contacted the federal government to obtain permission the project, and the Corps of Engineers told him there was no federal jurisdiction since it was an intermittent stream without any regular water flow.

The same conversation took place several times over the years, including in the 1990s when a Corps of Engineers staff member tried to convince a federal prosecutor to bring a case against Moses.

“The U.S. attorney told him to take a hike since the Corps had no jurisdictional authority to initiate legal action,” Fischer said. “According to former state legislator Lee Gagner, the Corps ‘discussed his process many times with him, but could not show where they had jurisdiction on the seasonal, intermittent stream,’ Gagner adds, ‘[T]o this day they do not have written rules indicating this to be true,” Fischer said.

Atkins said that very issue has been raised several times in the course of the case against Moses, but no court ruling ever has addressed it.

Then came a new a decision to pursue the case, and the conviction after jurors were told by Judge Lynn Winmill to disregard Moses’ attempts to submit the project to the Corps of Engineers and statements about U.S. government determinations regarding the channel in the 1980s and 1990s.

However, on the day Moses was sentenced to 18 months in prison, the U.S. Supreme Court released its Rapanos case, in which Justice Antonin Scalia confirmed the Clean Water Act gives the federal government jurisdiction only over “relatively permanent, standing or continuously flowing bodies of water,” not intermittent streams.

In this climate of fear and government tyranny, no man or woman can ever feel safe from the heavy hand of a government out of control.

This is just freaking nuts! In essence if the police in Connecticut suspect you might harm yourselves or others, absent any gun violations or any cause other than someone says they don’t like you, and they simply get a warrant and arrest your guns, before any crime is committed. State permits cops to seize firearms before crime is committed.

A new report to the Connecticut state legislature shows police have used the state’s unique gun seizure law to confiscate more than 1,700 firearms from citizens based on suspicion that the gun owners might harm themselves or others.

The state’s law permits police to seek a warrant for seizing a citizen’s guns based on suspicion of the gun owner’s intentions, before any act of violence or law-breaking is actually committed.

Shortly after the law was passed, Thompson Bosee, of Greenwich, Conn., had his guns and ammunition seized by police. Bosee told WND in 1999 that he suspects a neighbor, with whom he has had words regarding the neighbor’s driving on Bosee’s property, might have reported him.

“They had a warrant for my guns, they arrested my guns,” said Bosee. A member of both the NRA and the American Gunsmithing Association, Bosee said he works on his guns in his garage and is not ashamed of it.

Although Greenwich Police would not comment, they released a list of the guns and ammunition they seized from Bosee, including six handguns, three rifles, one shotgun, one submachine gun and 3,108 rounds of ammunition.

This is just nuts! No trial, no evidence that a crime was committed or that the person owning the guns had a record of violence with or without guns. Someone just says this guy scares me, he yelled at my dog, I think he’s crazy and might hurt someone. Forget presumption of innocence, get any complaint at all and they can take your guns.

Robert Novak’s brain tumor: ‘Dire’
Veteran political columnist announces immediate retirement.

Robert Novak has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and will retire immediately.

The political columnist called his condition “dire” and has left the paper to focus on medical treatment.

“The details are being worked out with the doctors this week, but the tentative plan is for radiation and chemotherapy,” Novak told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Novak, 77, announced his diagnosis July 27, only one week after he hit a homeless person with his Corvette. He had become ill that weekend and was admitted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass., where doctors found a tumor in his brain.

“I will be suspending my journalistic work for an indefinite but, God willing, not too lengthy period,” Novak originally said in the statement released by Eagle Publish

One reason I find this follow-up of this story of interest is this:

according to an Associated Press report, a neuro-oncologist at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle said it is routine procedure for doctors to search for brain tumors on patients who have car accidents and don’t realize it.

“People get spatial and visual neglect of a certain part of their bodies and they don’t realize they’ve done what they’ve done,” said Dr. Lynne Taylor, a fellow with the American Academy of Neurology.

Considering his traffic accident victim rolled off Novak’s windshield and Novak wasn’t aware of it, I find it interesting that this can be a sign of a brain tumor and thankfully he was examined and quickly diagnosed.

Oh, I know liberals hate him and at times he even irritates conservatives, but he has been a major voice in American politics for nearly 50 years, and I hope he will recover.

It is always fascinating to me when the historical record of the Bible is proven to be true and those that doubt Isarel’s historical record are shown to be not so wise.

A team of archaeologists in Israel has unearthed what’s believed to be the royal seal of an Old Testament prince who is said to have tossed the prophet Jeremiah down a well.

The stamped engraving, known as a “bulla,” was discovered earlier this year about 600 feet south of the Temple Mount, but is just now making headlines.

“We found the imprint in clay, remarkably well preserved, of a seal with the name of Gedaliah the son of Pashur,” Dr. Eilat Mazar of Jerusalem’s Hebrew University, told Israel National News. “How absolutely fantastic and special this find is, can only be realized when you hold in your hand this magnificent one-centimeter piece of clay and know that it survived 2,600 years in the debris of the destruction, and came to us complete and in perfect condition.”

Gedaliah is mentioned by name in Jeremiah 38:1 as he served Judah’s King Zedekiah in the final days before Jerusalem was conquered by Babylon’s King Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC.

The prophet’s writings tell of the actions that Gedaliah and his fellow princes took against him:

“Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.” (Jeremiah 38:6)

The letters on the seal are in ancient Hebrew.

This is actually the second recent discovery of an ancient bulla from the time of Jeremiah.

In 2005, Mazar found another seal with the name of Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, who is mentioned twice. That artifact was found in a stone structure Mazar believes was part of King David’s ancient palace.

“It’s not often,” Mazar told theTrumpet.com, “that such discoveries happen in which real figures of the past shake off the dust of history and so vividly revive the stories of the Bible

This does not prove the existence of God, but it does add to the innumerable archeological discoveries that prove the Bible is a reliable historical record.
