Obama’s plane trips ignored by media

Obama’s Hawaii Trips Cost More Than Palin’s Clothes

Barack Obama’s trips to Hawaii on a chartered Boeing 757 each cost more than twice the price of Sarah Palin’s new clothes.

Brad Blakeman, who was in charge of scheduling for President Bush, says a Boeing 757 costs about $20,000 an hour for fuel, crew, and maintenance. Since a trip to Hawaii entails 10 hours of flying time from Chicago, the total cost for each round-trip comes to about $400,000.

Obama used the Boeing 757 for trips to Hawaii over the summer for a vacation and again last week to see his failing grandmother. Admirable though that visit was, “By Obama using a private jet to go on a purely personal visit to see his grandma, he’s wasting not only energy, but he’s using the money that his supporters have given him for campaign purposes,” Blakeman says. “It’s a purely personal visit paid for with campaign funds.”

On the other hand, the media are highlighting the Republican National Committee’s purchase of $150,000 in clothes for Palin, even though the dresses will be donated to charities. The New York Times played the story on page one.

“They’re picking on Palin, who was provided a wardrobe by the RNC strictly for political purposes, and it was always intended that these garments would be then given to charity,” Blakeman says. “So there’s a benefit that’s going to charity, not a benefit that Palin will have after the election. There was a need for it because she’s a modest person who didn’t have an extensive wardrobe to do 24/7 campaigning.”

To pick on Palin without going after Obama’s plane trips is “an absolute journalistic abuse,” Blakeman says. “This is the same plane that he took to Hawaii when he went on vacation. In the summertime, when gas was soaring and Americans were having to pinch their pennies, this guy gets on his campaign plane and goes to Hawaii on vacation. He did a couple campaign stops in a state that is not a swing state and is a guaranteed win for Obama. That was clearly to cover the tracks of this vacation.”

Blakeman notes that at the height of the gasoline price surge, Obama suggested that Americans check their vehicle’s tire pressure as a way of conserving fuel.

“I wonder if he checked the tires on his jumbo jet before taking off for a purely personal visit?” Blakeman says. “The way he spends campaign money is a direct reflection of how he will spend ours. He could have easily flown commercial or taken a much smaller corporate aircraft that would cost a fraction of a 757.”

Ironically, it was Palin as governor who saved money for Alaskans by selling the state’s jet and instead flying commercial.

Kellyanne Conway, one of the most respected Republican pollsters, says the media’s attack on Palin’s clothes is an example of elitist snobbery or “classism.” Noting the media’s treatment of her, “I can’t believe her own family still approves of her, after the unprecedented, personal and relentless attacks that this woman has undergone,” Conway says.

Besides attacks on Palin over her clothes, Conway cites snide remarks about “the way she speaks, her husband’s lack of a college degree, the barefoot and pregnant 17-year-old daughter, you know who hunts moose anyway? The classism is so raw and unapologetic, so unconsidered and so undisguised

Another Obama associate in the news

He wouldn’t be thinking of a victory open-house?

Farrakhan Says ‘New Beginning’ For Nation of Islam
CHICAGO (AP) ― The Nation of Islam, a secretive movement generally closed to outsiders, has planned a rare open-to-the public event at its Chicago-based headquarters in what the Minister Louis Farrakhan deemed a “new beginning” for the group.

[...]

We have restored Mosque Maryam completely, and we will dedicate it to the universal message of Islam, and the universal aspect of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad,” Farrakhan said in an invitation letter. “It represents for the Nation of Islam, a new beginning.”

[...]

Experts say opening the mosque’s doors to the public is a calculated move.

“It is a very conscious effort to open the mosque up to the community and to rededicate the community to learning about Islam,” said Aminah McCloud, a professor of Islamic studies at DePaul University. “Previously, the Nation has been open to people coming to visit it, but its members don’t generally go anywhere else ... now there is a concerted effort.”

[...]

Farrakhan, 75, has haltingly tried to move the Nation toward traditional Islam, which considers the American movement heretical because of its view of Elijah Muhammad as a prophet—among other novel teachings. Orthodox Islam teaches that there has been no prophet after Prophet Muhammad in the seventh century.

He’s also played down some of the group’s more controversial beliefs. The Nation of Islam has taught that whites are descended from the devil and that blacks are the chosen people of Allah.

[...]

In February, Farrakhan appeared at an annual Saviours’ Day event in Chicago and called Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama the “hope of the entire world” that the U.S. will change for the better. The Obama campaign quickly denounced Farrakhan’s support, because of past comments about Jews that many have called offensive.

The best thing for the USA was Obama’s nomination

Really?

McCain may not be the candidate we dream about, but you can’t call him corrupt or a Marxist by any stretch of the imagination.  The things he has done that weren’t the smartest things, have been thoroughly investigated and he was exonerated.

Reading some of the blog entries over the last 72 or so hours it appeared for awhile that the masters of mass psychology, (closet Marxists?) had started to screw around with our positive attitude about this election.  At one time weren’t those folks just called ‘trolls’ and we just moved on?  (I see though, the positive attitude is coming back)

Why was Obama’s nomination a good thing?

This election has brought the corrupted elections of Chicago out in the open and presented to the the rest of the USA.

It has also brought out the lack of objectively of the main network news.  In the long run it’s going to hurt them in the pocketbook.

Add the fact that the word “racist” is thrown around so much that it is losing it’s real meaning.

There’s not going to be a gigantic explosive turning point where we can sigh with relief until Nov 5th.

Just because the media ignores it, Obama’s connections with ACORN,  communists, and domestic terrorists isn’t lost on voters.  People that would have fought to the death for Bill & Hillary have even noticed.  We just don’t hear about it.

Continue on, it’s going to work.

Just my $ .02 if anyone cares.

ACORN Vegas Office Raided in Voter Fraud Investigation

Must be a 'racist' conspiracy.

ACORN Vegas Office Raided in Voter Fraud Investigation

ACORN’s Las Vegas headquarters has been raided by Nevada authorities looking for evidence of voter fraud.

Tuesday, October 07, 2008

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.  The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote.

“Some of them used non-existent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications,” Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev. He said some registrations used the names of Dallas Cowboys football players.

Walsh said agents from both the secretary of state’s office and Nevada attorney general’s office conducted the raid, and “took a bunch of stuff.”

ACORN spokesman Charles Jackson confirmed the group’s Nevada office was raided.

It’s not the first time ACORN’s been under investigation for irregularities in registration records.

In 2006, ACORN committed what the Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed called the “worse case of election fraud” in the state’s history.

In the case, ACORN submitted just over 1,800 new voter registration forms, but there was a problem. The names were made up—all but six of the 1,800 submissions were fakes.

Jesus is a great Democrat

Says Rep. Alcee Hastings

Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.”

Didn’t he forget to include ‘clinging” and ‘bitter’ somewhere in there?

Cohen, who recently remarked that Jesus Christ was a community organizer, took his comments about the founder of the Christian faith further Wednesday. “A lot of what Jesus talks about is wonderful,” Cohen said. “Talks about helping people and lifting them up and caring about people who are sick and all those things. He’s a great Democrat.”

Meet Biden’s ‘other’ opponent.

The media hasn’t mentioned it, that I know of (big surprise), but Joe Biden is also running for his senate seat at the same time he’s nObama’s VP candidate.

Meet his opponent, Christine O’Donnell.

Candidate, U.S. Senate, (R-DE)

Christine O’Donnell is a nationally recognized political commentator and marketing consultant. Christine appears weekly, often daily, on national news outlets such as the Fox News Channel, CNN, C-SPAN, FNC’s O’Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes, MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, Entertainment Tonight, ABC’s Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher and countless others. Some of her most recent projects include providing daily political commentary on the 2008 Presidential primaries for shows such as CNN’s Glenn Beck, FNC’s Fox and Friends, The O’Reilly Factor, and many others. Christine is also a frequent radio talk show guest-host on WGMD in Rehoboth Beach and WDEL in Wilmington, DE.

I am not a career politician. I am an average person whose household budget feels the pain of inflation just like you do. This is precisely why I am running for US Senate. As a social advocate, I’ve made it my life’s work to defend the defenseless, fight against injustice and discrimination and stand up for the Truth. Now, as Congress is proposing the largest tax increase in U.S. History and proposing that the United Nations tax America’s GNP - as Congress is about to surrender everything that is great about America, I can no longer sit on the sidelines.

Gotta love it!

Biden or Palin

Since the media is full of Palin info lets look at Obamessiah’s VP -

New York Times September 18, 1987:

Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., fighting to salvage his Presidential campaign, today acknowledged ‘‘a mistake’’ in his youth, when he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school.

To buttress his assertions of sincerity and openness, Mr. Biden released a 65-page file, obtained by the Senator from the Syracuse University College of Law, that he said contained all the records of his years there. It disclosed relatively poor grades in college and law school, mixed evaluations from teachers and details of the plagiarism.

In a letter defending himself, dated Nov. 30, 1965, Mr. Biden pleaded with the faculty not to dismiss him from the school.

Read more here

From Wikipedia:

Biden unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and 2008. In his sixth consecutive term in the Senate, Biden has served for the sixth-longest period among current senators.

Yup, that’s change grin

Biden stated in 2002 that Saddam Hussein was a threat to national security, and that there was no option but to eliminate that threat.

Guess it was all Bush’s fault. grin

In September 1987, the campaign ran into trouble when he was accused of plagiarizing a speech by Neil Kinnock, then-leader of the British Labour Party

Guess he didn’t remember what he learned in law school about plagerism.

When questioned by a New Hampshire resident about his grades in law school, Biden had inaccurately recollected graduating in the “top half” of his class when he actually graduated 76th from 85, that he had attended law school on a full scholarship, and had received three degrees in college.[41] In fact, he had earned a single B.A. with a double major in history and political science, and had received a half scholarship to law school based on financial need with some additional assistance based in part upon academics.[41]

In all fairness we’ll include this:

The Delaware Supreme Court’s Board of Professional Responsibility cleared Biden of plagiarism charges regarding the law school paper in late 1987, several months after he had withdrawn from the campaign.[45]

Perfect running mate for Obamessiah.

As long as Palin’s family seems to be fair game:

During the years that Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. was helping the credit card industry win passage of a law making it harder for consumers to file for bankruptcy protection, his son had a consulting agreement that lasted five years with one of the largest companies pushing for the changes, aides to Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign acknowledged Sunday.

Mr. Biden’s son, Hunter, received consulting fees from the MBNA Corporation from 2001 to 2005 for work on online banking issues. Aides to Mr. Obama, who chose Mr. Biden as his vice-presidential running mate on Saturday, would not say how much the younger Mr. Biden, who works as both a lawyer and lobbyist in Washington, had received, though a company official had once described him as having a $100,000 a year retainer. But Obama aides said he had never lobbied for MBNA and that there was nothing improper about the payments.

Palin speech reports

I see the “news” is saying that Palin used her convention speech to “Slam” Obama or “Belittle” Obama, or “sarcastic attack on Barack Obama”.  Just provides another example of left-leaning-Obama-worshiping main stream media

Guess they didn’t realize it was a speech answering “lef-turd reports” about her & her family over the past few days.

(Not once did I hear her say anything about the opposing party’s families.)

I hate you Sarah Palin

Title stolen from David Kahane, here

He calls McCain:

that wrinkly old white dude with the numberless residences, John “the Senator from the Canal Zone” McCain

He calls Obama:

Barack Hussein Obama II Barry Soetero Barack Hussein Obama Jr., a.k.a. the “Senator from Hinky Dink Kenna,” aka the Punahou Kid

and then starts in on Sarah Palin:

But, seriously, just look at the negatives: she’s a popular first-term governor, she’s a woman, she’s happily married, she has five kids, one of them with Down’s syndrome, she’s a maverick, she’s from way beyond the Beltway, she’s taken on both the Republican Party and Big Oil, she shoots automatic weapons, she can kill a moose with a butter knife and fillet a sea lion with a smile, her husband’s a roustabout Eskimo snowmobile champ, she’s a hockey mom, she was Miss Wasilla, she looks like she should be playing Cecily, the saucy librarian, in Tom Stoppard’s Travesties, and she doesn’t wear pantsuits. Heck, she hasn’t even appeared yet on Meet the Press! I mean, who in his right mind would vote for her?

You gotta read the whole thing but in the meantime:

But she’s not a Democrat, which despite her va-va-va-voom appearance, means she’s not really a woman, which is one of the reasons we’ve spent the past four days since McCain unveiled her trying to tear her limb from limb. Just because she’s the governor of a state sandwiched between two obscure and unimportant countries, Canada and Russia, and spent more time in her first five minutes visiting American troops in Iraq than Evita Barry did during his entire Rainbow Tour, what could she possibly know about foreign policy? It’s not like she’s John Edwards or something.

and a lot more articles here but you have to have a little sense of humor.

Obama compares his campaign to natural disaster?

(CNN) — Barack Obama defended his experience in dealing with natural disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina, and took a swipe at newly minted GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

In an interview on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, Obama was asked about whether his experience in the U.S. Senate dealing with weather-related situations compares to Palin’s executive experience running the state of Alaska and as the small town mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

“My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year – we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” Obama responded.

Our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the past couple of years and certainly in terms of the legislation I’ve passed in the past couple of years, post-Katrina.”
