Friday Funny!

There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

When attempting to burn a flag, pour the gasoline on the flag before lighting the flag.

Read it.

111th Congress H.J. Res. 5, Proposal To Kill The 22nd Amendment

In case you didn’t know, the 22nd is the one that limits the president to 2 terms, and yes there is now a proposal to repeal the 22nd.

This was proposed by Rep. Jose’ Serrano (D)NY.

WTF is it with New York, the crack? You people really feel that this guy is the best that you have to represent you at the national level? I don’t know about anyone else but I’m really starting to wonder if collectively the population has an IQ greater than or equal to zero.

Find H.J. Res. 5 here

Dem Arrested: Attempted Sexual Assault Of A Child And Having Child Pornography

Racine - Mayor Gary Becker has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to attempted sexual assault of a child and having child pornography, according to a state agency.

Becker was taken into custody at Brookfield Square Mall in Brookfield on Tuesday afternoon. He was arrested for child enticement, possession of child pornography, exposing a child to harmful materials, attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and misconduct in public office, according to the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation.

As usual, since the offender is a Democrat there is no mention of party affiliation in the article. However that tidbit of information is mentioned here.

Contrarian

contrarian

con⋅trar⋅i⋅an
/kənˈtrɛəriən/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kuhn-trair-ee-uhn] Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
a person who takes an opposing view, esp. one who rejects the majority opinion.

Yep, they exist. That’s why Rob reminds us each time we comment:

Grant me the serenity to ignore the trolls,
the courage to debate with honest opponents,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

We know who the most pervasive is, this is just a reminder.

Another day, Another Dem Indicted

Baltimore Mayor Sheila A. Dixon was charged today with 12 counts of felony theft, perjury, fraud and misconduct in office, becoming the city’s first sitting mayor to be criminally indicted.

The case stems in part from at least $15,348 in gifts Dixon allegedly received from her former boyfriend, prominent city developer Ronald H. Lipscomb, while she was City Council president. She also is accused of using as much as $3,400 in gift cards, some donated to her office for distribution to “needy families,” to purchase Best Buy electronics and other items for herself and her staff.

emphasis mine

Party affiliation is saved for the fourth paragraph.

Further.

If convicted on all charges, the 55-year-old former teacher and mother of two could be sentenced to 85 years in prison. The most serious charges, two counts of felony theft, each carry a possible 15-year prison term.

Which party was it that coined the phrase “culture of corruption”?

Harvester Of Eyes

So you brutally kill 3 people and find yourself on death row. What are you willing to do to get the sentence reduced? Here’s a novel idea, just pluck out your only functioning eye and eat it!

The guys attorney says “He is insane and mentally ill”. Ya think? He’s convinced me, although on the surface this just appears to be another typical case of blind justice.

Another Chance To Play “Name That Party”!

While RBB sleeps at the wheel I’ll take over.

Newly elected Senator… “will be convicted by the security video” taken in the hallway and outside his Jackson Heights apartment after he allegedly slashed Karla Giraldo in a jealous rage, sources said.

“No one can look at the security video and think that this was an accident,” said a law enforcement source who saw the footage. “The woman looks scared out of her mind and trying to get away from this guy.”

You’ll have to wait until the thirteenth paragraph to find the answer to todays exciting episode of Name That Party.

AP Confirms 30 Dead Due To Hamas Firing Mortars From School Zone

GAZA CITY, Gaza (AP)—...Two residents of the area who spoke by telephone said they saw a small group of militants firing mortar rounds from a street near the school, where 350 people had gathered to get away from the shelling. They spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal.

...

...Majed Hamdan, an AP photographer, rushed to the scene shortly after the attacks. At the hospital, he said, many children were among the dead.

Hamas…pillars of their community…FEH!

read it all here.

I’ve got a screen capture in case the AP decides to flush this down the memory hole.

How Dare Jews Defend Themselves

Via

What have been Israel’s “crimes?” Not “stealing Palestinian land,” but making that land productive, while exposing the incompetence and sloth of Arab culture.

Israel’s crime isn’t striking back at terror, but demonstrating, year after year, that a country in the Middle East can be governed without resort to terror. Israel’s crime hasn’t been denying Arab rights, but insisting on human rights for women and minorities.

Israel’s crime has been making democracy work where tyranny prevailed for 5,000 years. Israel’s crime has been survival against overwhelming odds, while legions of Arab nationalists, Islamist extremists and Western leftists want every Jew dead.

But Israel’s greatest crime was to expose the global cult of victimhood, to prove that hard work, fortitude and courage could overcome even history’s grimmest disaster.

Was it a crime to hand Gaza back to Palestinian authorities, to give peace a chance? Look what Israel received in return for trading land for peace.

Let us never forget the fundamental truth that, while Israel longs to live in peace with its neighbors, those neighbors openly profess the desire to eliminate Israel and exterminate its people.

Indeed, Arab and regional jealousy toward Israel is so all-consuming, so necessary to excuse the Arab art of failure, that even these judicious airstrikes will hardly make a dent in the terrorist threat.

Obama Might Decriminalize Marijuana?

I bet that got the attention of more than a couple of you!

From Esquire mag.

The stoner community is clamoring to say it: “Yes we cannabis!” Turns out, with several drug-war veterans close to the president-elect’s ear, insiders think reform could come in Obama’s second term—or sooner.

Read the whole thing. I get the feeling the articles author partakes and is wishfully thinking. Not that I think regulated legalization, similar to what we do with alcohol, would necessarily be a bad thing, but the last time I checked creating and repealing laws was not a power extended to the executive branch. The President could certainly ask congress to create and pass onto him/her such a bill to sign into law, but for the President to take upon him/herself such an action would make the President a criminal.

A Silly Socio-Economic Survey

Given the current status of the economy and the forecasts ranging from recovery starting in mid to late ‘09 to we’re going to relive the depression, how about a little survey that assumes the worst case scenario.

Here’s the hypothetical scenario, the country does indeed go into a depression, however, you have been blessed with maintaining employment, so far, the future isn’t certain.

List the top 5 spending priorities in your life given the circumstances from most important first to least important last. If you feel an explanation is needed for a particular choice, explain after the 5th choice. No 2 choices can be equally important leading to a sixth priority, if you feel that 2 are equally important they are tied and you are then still limited to listing a total of 5 priorities with the exception that home utilities would be considered all inclusive, i.e. gas, electricity, water, sewage, etc. can be bundled under the heading of utilities, fuel for a vehicle may not be bundled with paying for a vehicle. Essentially what are your top 5 basic needs given the hypothetical circumstances.

I’ll start this off with mine in the comments, don’t be bashful.

Restaurant To Serve Human Breast Milk

via The Telegraph
The owner of the Storchen restaurant in the exclusive Winterthur resort will improve his menu with local specialities such as meat stew and various soups and sauces containing at least 75 per cent of mother’s milk.  “We have all been raised on it. Why should we not include it into our diet?” Hans Locher, who has become Switzerland most controversial restaurant owner, said.  Mr Locher attracted the attention of the leading media of the German-speaking world this week after he posted ads looking for women donors, who will receive just over three pounds for 14 ounces of their milk.  He said: “I first experimented with breast milk when my daughter was born.  “One can cook really delicious things with it. However, it always needs to be mixed with a bit of whipped cream, in order to keep the consistency.” The food control authority in Switzerland was initially confused by the apparent loophole in local legislation regulating the use of human milk and it was not clear whether Mr Locher could actually be banned from serving his specialities.  “Humans as producers of milk are simply not envisaged in the legislation.  “They are not on the list of approved species such as cows and sheep, but they are also not on the list of the banned species such as apes and primates,” Rolf Etter of the Zurich food control laboratory said.

My initial reaction was COOL!, then I thought about the photos of the broads in Code Pink over at Zombietime, I suddenly lost my appetite.

That’s what Randi Rhodes suggests.

See here.

I think Randi just has a fantasy involving herself being cock slapped.
