YOU KILL, YOU DIE?  Study Says It Saves Lives

Adhahn’s death will not bring back Zina. That is not the point. Does a message need to be sent that we will not tolerate this type of violence in our community and others? Should we announce to those that commit capital crimes do so knowing that they too will face the death penalty?

A study came out recently proving that the death penalty saves lives. The steady drumbeat of DNA exonerations — pointing out flaws in the justice system — has weighed against capital punishment. The moral opposition is loud, too, echoed in Europe and the rest of the industrialized world, where all but a few countries banned executions years ago.
What gets little notice, however, is a series of academic studies over the last half-dozen years that claim to settle a once hotly debated argument — whether the death penalty acts as a deterrent to murder. The analyses say yes. They count between three and 18 lives that would be saved by the execution of each convicted killer.
The reports have horrified death penalty opponents and several scientists, who vigorously question the data and its implications.
“Science does really draw a conclusion. It did. There is no question about it,” said Naci Mocan, an economics professor at the University of Colorado at Denver. “The conclusion is there is a deterrent effect.”
A 2003 study he co-authored, and a 2006 study that re-examined the data, found that each execution results in five fewer homicides, and commuting a death sentence means five more homicides. “The results are robust, they don’t really go away,” he said. “I oppose the death penalty. But my results show that the death penalty (deters) — what am I going to do, hide them?”

Should those murderers who confess, admit, and prove guilt be executed?

RIP ZINA

Update On Zina’s (suspected) Monster
Terapon Adhahn is a child killer!
“I disgraced myself and my mother deserves a better son than me.”
Terapon Adhahn said those words 17 years ago, during treatment for a sex offense he admitted committing. He is a sex offender, convicted of violent incest in 1990. There are conflicting reports of his citizenship.
He received a 60-day jail sentence and a 60-month regimen of sex offender treatment.
During the course of the criminal case, Adhahn was diagnosed as a pedophile. A counselor, Michael Comte, assessed him as “a devious, manipulative, aggressive and over-controlling personality with clear-cut power needs,” and added that he was “a disturbed individual who has constant difficulty acknowledging his problems.”
Another counselor, Daniel DeWaelsche, spoke positive about Adhahn at the end of his sex offender treatment. “He continues to demonstrate that he is using the skills and techniques, gleaned in treatment, to avoid high risk situations which could lead to recidivism,” DeWaelsche wrote. Adhahn completed the required treatment by 1997, and was classified as Level 1 – the category deemed least likely to reoffend. The counselor praised his efforts at rehabilitation, according to court records. “It has been a pleasure working with Terapon,” DeWaelsche wrote.

On July 12, 2007 Adhahn informed the investigators where to the find the body of 12-year-old Zina Linnik, missing since July 4.

Porn pizza

LOL… Gotta love the minds of entrepreneurs. It’s self explanatory but for those that need visual aid for comprehension I included a pic for you.  Opps… I’ve been censored so here is the link

Pizza sellers in Western Canada have decided to buy into the saying “sex sells”: they are delivery pornographic photos with their products. Porno Pizza, which opened last week in Winnipeg, has had great success with their idea of covering the bottoms of their pizza boxes with pornographic images.

“They range from photos with an artistic bent like Playboy magazine to photos that are much more hardcore,” says Corey Wildeman, owner of the establishment, who says that the photos become visible as you eat the pizza.

Corrie family asks U.S. court to reopen trial against bulldozer company

Rachel Corrie chose to side with a society that breeds some of the cruelest murderers of innocent people in the world. She called herself a “peace activist”, yet she actually was an anti-Americanism American flag burning Martyr defending the honor of terrorists. Aiding terrorists that included members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, fellow International Solidarity Movement activists working with Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the West Bank, and endorsing cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal as a commencement speaker. Her “peace” activities were endless. Hmmm…

“Caterpillar sold this product knowing—or it should have known—it would cause exactly this harm,” one of the family’s lawyers, well-known Duke University law professor Erwin Chemerinsky, told the three judges from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Rachel Corrie, a 23-year-old peace activist from Olympia, was crushed by a 60-ton Israeli bulldozer as she stood before a Palestinian home in the Gaza Strip. Her parents, Cindy and Craig Corrie, sued Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar, which manufactured the bulldozer, seeking to hold the company civilly liable for aiding and abetting human rights violations—the destruction of civilian homes.

The family of Rachel Corrie, who was killed trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian home in 2003, is asking federal appeals court panel to reopen its lawsuit against Caterpillar Inc. They claim the company knew bulldozers it sold to the Israeli government were being used to “commit human rights violations”.

Corrie knowingly sat down in front of a bulldozer set to demolish a terrorist`s home that was hiding arms smuggling tunnels. She probably did not know that the driver could not see her, but seven other fellow activists undoubtedly did. After she had disappeared from view the driver kept advancing until the bulldozer was completely on top of her.  Yes, I admit this had have been a horrific scene for her fellow “friends” activists to stand around and witness, (but not terrible enough for any of them to come to her aid).  The driver did not lift the bulldozer blade and so she was crushed beneath it.  Then the driver backed up - effectively running over her again. Did her fellow activists do anything? Yes, they filmed it, then released it to the media. My thoughts are maybe the other ISM members considered her more valuable as a death statement. Just a thought anyway.
