| Bio | I was born and raised in California, although I have lived for various lengths of time in Nevada, Hawaii, and Arkansas.
I have a bachelors degree from UC SAnta Cruz, the most "progressive" (crazy ass left wing)college in the United States. I have two graduate degrees. I have an MA in education, which I don't like to admit because a brain damaged spider monkey is smart enough to earn a graduate degree in education. I also have an MS in a branch of the sciences; I worked my ass off for that degree.
I spent much of my childhood on my grandparents farm not far from the Salton Sea (see Middle of Nowhere) California. My grandparents weren't rich, and both worked jobs outside the farm to make ends meet, and often had to take out short term loans to pay property taxes. If it hadn't been for California's Prop 13, they probably wouldn't have been able to keep the farm long enough to put me through college.
My grandparents sold some of their farmland and used proceeds to pay for my books and tuition at UCSC. Their reward for this sacrafice was to see me (the first one in the family to go to college) graduate. Unfortunately, my graduation was ruined for them when key note speaker, Delores Huerta used her speach to denounce "landowners" and "Republicans."
My main hobby is martial arts. I've studied boxing, wrestling, Savate kickboxing, Xing-Yi Quan, Praying Mantis boxing, and Tai Chi, but my all-time favorite style is Wing Chun. |
