Abigail Goldman of the L.A. Times (who sat behind me yesterday and is currently sitting a row over from me today) has an article up about yesterday's conference.

You can read it here. She spends most of her article dwelling on the WakeUpWalmart.com who were here and hijacked the attending journalists into their own press conference yesterday. One interesting thing I noted from her article is the fact that she didn't report the quote from Rev. Markel Hutchins I reported yesterday comparing Wal-Mart's new health care initiatives to lynching people from a tree.

She also didn't report on Rev. Hutchins' theories about minorities shopping at Wal-Mart because they are poor and oppressed.

Which is typical for the media, I guess. She selectively reported the union event, putting in to her article their talking points and leaving out the nasty, nutty rhetoric that allows reasonable people to dismiss them as inconsequential.
