Kerry Seeks to Show Workers He Feels Their Pain
On a tour of rust belt states crucial to his presidential bid, Democrat John Kerry has sought this week to show auto workers and coal miners he feels their pain -- a potentially tough sell for a reserved, wealthy senator from one of Boston's best families.
I'll say it'll be a tough sell. When the media is running articles about your private fleet of vehicles and your airborn hairstylist its going to be hard to convince blue-collar types that you have any idea what their live are like.
The fact that Kerry has to make an effort in this regard speaks to just how out-of-touch with the average American he really is.
