Prime Minister Tony Blair, however, mentions his God (in that he feels he his decisions as Prime Minister will be judged by that God) and the political left in that country goes nuts.
Amazing how that works, isn't it? They refuse to denounce the Muslim extremists in their midst, yet they won't delay in castigating a mainstream religious politician for mentioning his God in passing.
The same sort of crap happens here in America (though not to the same extent). Last year Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ was all the rage at the Oscars due to popular public response, though it was derided by many on the left for various reasons. And that's fine, yet this year with Paradise Now we have a film condoning acts of Islamic terrorism...and the leftists are falling all over themselves to applaud it. Why? Apparently because it "challenges the status quo."
The "status quo" apparently being we American citizens who don't want to condone the monstrous acts of Jew-hating terrorists.
