Apparently tasked with the job of doing something really stupid to distract from Obama’s personal three ring circus (Rezko and Wright and bitter Pennsylvanians, oh my!), Harry Reid opens his mouth so sound the alarm about...Sunnis coming back to power in Iraq!

The ironic thing is that the Sunnis rising in power in the Shiite-dominated Iraq is a sign of political progress.  Instead of being ostracized by the Shiite majority they are being brought into the fold of the Iraqi government.  And while that’s causing tension in the short term, in the long run it’s what we want.

Exit question: Should Reid really be talking about the lack of political progress in Iraq when the Iraqi parliament has undoubtedly passed more policy this year than the Democrat-controlled Congress?
