Oh my...
Sources at the Secret Service have disclosed that the "bulge" seen in Bush's jacket during the debates was nothing more than the securing straps of a bullet proof vest. Bush has also been seen to have a bulge under his shirt at other events where there was no need for a listening device. Further, experts every bit as learned and trustworthy as those contacted by the New York Times reporters in Oliver's post concluded that the bulge was likely a security vest long before the Secret Service disclosed as much.
And lets use our common sense here for a moment. Given the incredibly small size of audio transmitter/receiver set ups available to the private sector, why on earth would the President of the United States be using one the size of a small vacuum cleaner?
Is there anything they won't believe or does pretty much any story casting Bush as the evil or sneaky villain get wide spread acceptance on the left?

Wizbang has more.
