For the modern Democrat party, a return to the ideals of Roosevelt and Truman wouldn't be a bad idea. Those men had the backbone to stand up for America in the world. Democrats today seem far too busy blaming our country for all the bad things that happen in the world to do any such thing. I don't think I'd become a Democrat if those folks became the party of Roosevelt again, but it would certainly lead to a healthier political climate.
This book isn't due to hit book stores until September, but I should have a review of it up in the next several weeks.
