Sun-Sentinel - About 400 longstanding Broward school bus stops may have to be moved because a new state law prohibits them from being within 1,000 yards of a pedophile on probation, officials said Monday, the first day of school.
All summer, local and state officials studying the law passed last spring have been debating the number of stops that should be involved.
Broward officials said in June they thought the bill applied to all 1,100 registered sexual predators in the county.
Yikes, that is one heck of a lot of child molestors.
