Here's an excerpt from Ted Stevens' address to the National Association of Broadcasters where he called for an extension of FCC decency standards on broadcast television to include cable television:

Stevens said he was watching a cable network recently and was disgusted at what he saw at 8 p.m.

"The star of the show, a cartoon-character lion, openly discussed sex toys and masturbation," he said. "As a matter of fact, I can't remember really getting up and leaving a program at my age, but I did the other night. On cable, I just got tired of the four-letter words with pariticiples. I decided that whoever wrote that program didn't have a dictionary."

If you're going to push for an extension of FCC powers maybe you should know the difference between a broadcast television channel and a cable channel.

The show he's talking about is called Father of the Pride. It airs (aired?) on NBC.

A broadcast station, not a cable station.

I previously posted on this subject here.
