Pajamas Media, the blog portal project which I am a part of, has been much maligned in the blogosphere since it launched. Many have complained about the vapid content at the main site and the lack of any real point to the portal itself.
I've always maintained that the main focus of Pajamas Media should be the advertising network (which they've still yet to launch), but today may well mark a time of vindication for the portal itself.
Their coverage of the Iraq elections has been superb. The way they've contracted with observers on the ground in Iraq and mixed that reporting with blogosphere reactions and links has resulted in a source of information for this event that is far and above that which I've seen in more traditional media outlets.
Really, its pretty great. I'm happy to be a part of it, though I didn't really have anything to do with the coverage they've provided today.
I hope they keep this up, though I still think the portal could use some work as far as layout and usability. Navigating can still be a little confusing at times.
