Take a look at this map Slate has up forecasting the electoral college results of the election (via OTB).

Holy crap, right? And the numbers they have up are even more shocking:

Bush: 348 Electoral Votes (230 solid, 118 close)
Kerry: 190 Electoral Votes (153 solid, 37 close)

Slate has Bush dominating right now while most of the media is depicting Bush as being up against the ropes. The link above has detailed information about how they reached the numbers.

I'm really surprised to see this from Slate. Anybody who is familiar with that publication is aware that they are not a bastion of right-wing sentiment. Far from it, in fact. Most consider them very left-of-center.

I'm not sure I buy that Bush is this far ahead though. We'll just have to wait and see.
