I missed this quote from NDGOP Chairman Gary Emineth in yesterday’s Grand Forks Herald:

Emineth said Obama’s “liberal policies” would not sit well with the state’s voters come November. He also pointed reporters to a Washington Post story published Wednesday that says Obama got a discounted rate on a “super super jumbo” mortgage he used in 2005 to buy a $1.65 million home in Chicago. It’s part of a pattern with a previous questionable real estate deal Obama engaged in, and similar to the discounted rate Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., received on a mortgage for a million-dollar beach home, Emineth said.

Is it a coincidence that Conrad got his sweetheart deal through former Countrywide Mortgage employee Jim Johnson, who put Conrad in touch with Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo, and that Johnson went on to work closely with Barack Obama?  With Johnson only having left Countrywide after a scandal over (wait for it) unethically-issued loans?

That’s not a coincidence at all.  That’s a pattern of corruption which tells us that Kent Conrad is unfit to be a Senator, and Barack Obama is unfit to be President.
