Sen. Chuck Schumer has an opinion on who recently-resigned Asst. Attorney General McNulty’s replacement should be. He thinks the candidate should be “non political.”
WASHINGTON (CNN)—Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-New York, reiterated his position that embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should resign Thursday, and told CNN’s John Roberts that President Bush ought to appoint a “non-political” replacement for outgoing Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty.
And, of course, by “non political” Schumer means “not conservative” in his/her politics. Because you know anyone who is a registered Republican and/or maybe a member of the Federalist Society is going to be branded “PARTISAN!” by the libs and their allies in the media.
Of course, an ACLU lawyer with a Sierra Club membership would be an completely acceptable choice as far as they’re concerned.
