For any who are interested, I've had to ban a commenter from Say Anything for the first time ever. I haven't done it before and I'm sorry that it had to be done.

Gary Gunnels, who most regulars here are more than likely quite familiar with, will no longer be allowed to comment. His input was appreciated, as is the input of everybody even when the disagree with me, but he engaged in petty name-calling and a type of withering condescension that I am just not going to tolerate. I don't invest my time and money into this site in order to provide an area where people can be rude and insulting to me. If you want to disagree with me, fine. Do so. You can even be spirited about it, I've got an open mind, but I will not tolerate disrespect.

Some of you may say that I'm crushing dissent or that I banned Gary because he disagreed with me. This is not so. Many regular commenters remain who disagree with me on a very regular basis. Gary is gone because he could not show even the smallest hint of respect.

I really, really hope this doesn't have to happen again.
