I’m proud to announce that one of Say Anything’s own, Pilgrim (known as Lee Dresselhaus in the real world) is now a published novelist. His book, Dog Men Dream of Magic Things is available now at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Lee was kind enough to provide me with a copy of the book while it was in its editing stage, and I’ve got to say that it’s a really good read. I enjoyed every page of it, and Whistler (who also got an advance copy) described it as a “page turner.” If I’d have to describe it, I’d call it the bastard literary off-spring of MASH, the Lords of Discipline and Cheech and Chong.
Why Lee didn’t ask me to write a blurb for the back cover I’ll never know.
Anyway, Lee and I were talking last night and I told him his book could possibly outsell Nancy Pelosi’s book. At last glance, Rep. Pelosi had sold just 2,737 copies of her book since it was published and that was with a full on PR-blitz and book tour. I think Lee could match that with a little help from the blogosphere.
So there’s all the incentive you need to buy, right? It’s a good book from a guy you’ve come to know here on Say Anything, and if enough of you buy a copy we can also maybe humble Rep. Nancy Pelosi a bit too.
