Last year I dabbled in podcasting a bit putting out five episodes with ND Rep. Tom Brussegard. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the way those podcasts were coming out, so I got frustrated and quit.

Well recently a new service was founded called BlogTalkRadio.com. It allows users to stream their shows live to the internet and even have listeners call in. The CEO of the company has been bugging me to give it a try, so I thought I'd fool around with it a bit this evening. If it works out I'll probably be using it more.

I couldn't get a hold of Tom, so I asked Brett Narloch of TakingBackND.com to join me. We're both new at this, and I'm not entirely certain I know how to use the BlogTalkRadio features yet, so if this first show comes off horribly you'll have to excuse us.

You can listen to the show live here. The call-in number is (347) 677-0693, or you can instant message me during the show by clicking here. The show starts at 4:00pm U.S. central time and will last for 30 minutes.

If you call in be sure to mention the name you use on on Say Anything (even if you use your real name too) so that we know who you are.

Update:

We just finished up. I think it went well. This BlogTalkRadio.com tool works really well. I was able to accept calls and everything smoothly, and I think the audio quality is decent enough. It would be nice if there were some way I could be alerted when the show starts and begins. Brett and I didn't know when we'd gone live and we didn't know when the show ended (you'll be able to tell when you listen) but overall it was a blast, and I certainly plan on doing more of these.

The file size is a little large this time around, but that's the best I could do with the audio editing software on my computer. Normally I won't have to edit, but this time around it caught Brett and I talking a bit before the show before we knew we were being recorded and I wanted to get that bit off of there.
