So says a reader who says that 90% of the callers in to Ed’s show (which I hate to plug given what a turd Schultz is) after the debate were saying that Sand won.  I didn’t get a chance to listen (I was on the Scott Hennen show this morning), but here’s what the reader had tos ay:

Duane bloodied Earl’s nose in dramatic form. Earl lost his temper about 3 minutes in, and didn’t find it again for the rest of the debate. Sand called him out on his bailout vote, his vote to withdraw troops from Iraq, and the thousands of dollars Pomeroy received within 24 hours of the bailout vote from Wall Street, and all Earl could do was try to pin Duane to Americans for Prosperity, of which Ed Schafer and many other North Dakotans are members.

Earl was grasping at straws. The good news is that nearly all the callers, Democrat and Republicans, were giving it to Duane, except for the loaded callers Earl had waiting to call in who were clearly following a script. There is a “Sand Buzz” going on in the state, and he’s surging just in time.

Another reader emailed to call it “a coup.”
