Also ... were you listening to Prairie Home Companion your local "public radio" station on Saturday? It's a live broadcast, you know. In the middle of that broadcast Garrison Keillor told the audience that Ronald Reagan had died. You could hear liberals in the audience cheering and clapping. Class act, those Democrats.
I didn't get to listen to the broadcast, but I know that Keillor is a raging liberal living in a town (Minneapolis/St. Paul) full of liberals, so perhaps I'm not all that surprised. I'm not blaming Keillor himself for the cheers, but I would have expected him to at least admonish the crowd for the glee they were showing at the announcement of a man's death.
For the record, this conservative Republican plans on being respectful and mournful when Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton pass away. I expect nothing less from those on the opposite end of the political spectrum.
Update:
As noted in the comments by J. Tea, the Prairie Home Companion show mentioned in the article was not performed in front of a Minnesota audience. Instead, it was performed in New Hampshire.
