Because America doesn’t deserve to celebrate.  Because of, you know, Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay and stuff.

See, we’re all bad.  Because we’re American.  And we don’t deserve to be happy.

On a related note, if anyone else has seen a more classic case of liberal self-loathing I’d like to see it.  Because this guy is pretty much textbook.
