Obama Runs From McCain’s Challenge On Debates

You’d think the public speaking master, the guy the New York Times described as “a man of few rhetorical stumbles,” would want lots of debates so that he could contrast his artful speaking and grasp of the issues with his opponent.

Apparently Obama is interested in no such thing.  Which tells us volumes, doesn’t it?

Obama is great when he’s reading off a teleprompter, running through a rehearsed script or speech or regurgitating the talking points his army of advisers feed him.  He’s not so good when he’s challenged and has to come up with answers off the top of his head.

Put simply: Obama is all image, and not a whole lot of substance.
