Boy, when they said Obama was going to get personal with John McCain they weren’t kidding.  First Obama mocked McCain for being old and disabled (while in the service of his country, no less).  Now he’s questioning war hero McCain’s patriotism:

This is what Barack Obama had to say earlier this year in June:

“I will never question the patriotism of others in this campaign. And I will not stand idly by when I hear others question mine.”

This is Obama today:

“So, when American workers hear John McCain talking about putting ‘Country First,’” Obama said, “it’s fair to ask –- which country?”

It’s amazing what an inspired VP choice and a plunge in public opinion polls will do for a guy’s principles.

And I gotta say, it takes some cojones for a member of Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright’s congregation - the guy who got his start in politics at William “I Stand Around On American Flags” Ayers’ house - to question the allegiances of a guy who under went years of torture rather than give in to the Vietnamese socialists and smear his own country in a propaganda film.
