It’s not a challenge to Roe, but it’s nice to see this sort of bill get the support it deserves anyway.  And it did get a lot of support, passing the House with flying colors.

BISMARCK, N.D. - North Dakota should allow abortions only to save the mother’s life, the state House decided. However, the restriction would take effect only if the U.S. Supreme Court concludes it is reasonable. . . .

The legislation that was approved, 61-26, seeks to ban abortion except when it is necessary to save a woman’s life. Any other abortion would be a felony crime, punishable by a five-year prison term and a $5,000 fine.

Let’s hope the Senate passes it as well.
