As I’ve explained before, the simple solution to the whole “property rights vs. I don’t want to be around smoking” debate is to require private business owners to post their smoking policy clearly on the outside of their establishments so that citizens thinking of patronizing said establishment can make an informed choice as to whether or not to enter.
Of course, the nanny-state types aren’t interested in any such compromise. Because it’s not really their own health they’re worried about. They just want to be able to tell you what to do.
