Rep. Al Carlson’s passionate defense of the “stand your ground” legislation he proposed made the pages of Newsweek:

I’d tell you what would happen in my house. I would shoot that person, and I would shoot them enough times that I knew he wasn’t going to do any danger to me, or my family. He’d leak like a watering can when I was done with him.
Expect one of North Dakota’s “progressive” bloggers to whine about how Carlson is making us all look like a bunch of rural, gun-toting rubes. Which, of course, we sort of are. In a way.
But then not everybody sees that as a bad thing.
