Elizabeth Edwards is promising that there will be no riots after the election...as long as her husband and John Kerry win.

Drudge Report - C-SPAN cameras captured spouse Elizabeth Edwards making the startling comments to a supporter during a Kerry Campaign Town Hall Meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Supporter: Kerry's going to take PA.

Liz Edwards: I know that.

Supporter: I'm just worried there's going to be riots afterwards.

Liz Edwards: Uh.....well...not if we win.

Typical. Of course people won't riot if the wonderful John Kerry replaces the Bushhitler dictatorship.

Update:

INDC Journal:

...Edwards, who has previously made inappropriate comments, is not doing anything that I'd consider newsworthy or scandalous this time. She's just making a dumb, hesitant, off-the-cuff remark and getting an unfair treatment from Drudge.

I have no idea why anyone would treat that sound clip with outrage, whereas Kerry's repeated remarks about fabricated meetings elicit a "yawn."

I'd agree with that. I wouldn't say that I'm particularly outraged by Mrs. Edwards' comment, but I do think its dumb as well as noteworthy. I point it out as further evidence of the complete lack of respect the left has for the right. Not that we needed any.

But it is certainly nowhere near as noteworthy as Kerry's fabricated meetings.
