BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) has struck once again from Democratic high places.

State Comptroller Alan Hevesi publicly apologized Thursday for a "beyond dumb" remark about a fellow Democrat putting "a bullet between the president's eyes."

Of course, he said that to a large vulnerable audience at the Queens College commencement

"The man who, how do I phrase this diplomatically, who will put a bullet between the president's eyes if he could get away with it. The toughest senator, the best representative. A great, great member of the Congress of the United States.".

The great great member of Congress that he was sucking up to was New York Chuck Schumer who characteristically shrugged off Hevesi's statement as no big thing.

Schumer spokeswoman Risa Heller said the senator was satisfied with Hevesi's apology

To his credit, Hevesi apologized and acknowledged his speaking blunder.

Hevesi, a longtime professor of government and politics at Queens College before becoming comptroller, also referred to his comments as "remarkably stupid" and "incredibly moronic."

I think we can all agree with that statement. What I can't agree with is how the Democrats continue to get away with making life threatening and other abusive remarks concerning the president.
