I couldn’t help but chuckle at the headline over this press release from Speaker Pelosi’s office:

So, what would Rep. Pelosi like to spend record deficits on?

Kind of sums up the entire American political soap opera, doesn’t it?  Democrats want to spend money on one thing, and Republicans (despite lip service to tax relief and such) want to spend it something else.

Neither party really seems to want to reduce the burden of government on the average American and enhance freedom.
