Because smoking is an important part of their cultural heritage, apparently.  Why any racial demographic, from blacks to whites, can’t claim smoking is an important part of their culture too is beyond me.

Though on a basic level, why people can’t just choose to smoke on their own property if they want to (or on others’ property if they allow it) is a bit of a mystery too, I guess, explainable only by the seemingly bottomless desire of some to tell others how to live their lives.
