We’ll be talking about whether or not Governor Hoeven’s third run for office is good for conservatives and/or the NDGOP.  State House Majority Leader Rick Berg will be on as well taking, I’m assuming, the opposite position.

I wanted to make one point we didn’t get to on the air.  I said that Governor Hoeven’s budget had increased spending on several state agencies over and above what they requested.  Rep. Berg sort of side-stepped the point by saying that all state agencies request additional funds every year.  But my point was that Governor Hoeven actually proposed spending on the various state agencies over and above what they had requested.

I ran the numbers on the Governor’s budget in this post, if anyone cares to fact-check.

Overall I think it was a good, healthy debate with Rep. Berg (who I have a great deal of respect for) and a great opportunity from Mr. Hennen.
