According to a report yesterday on Fox, the US and Israel have developed a defensive “force field” to protect combat vehicles from the threat of rocket propelled grenades (RPG) and other such attacks. After picking up the incoming threat on radar, the system “deploys” when the attacking munition is within range and destroys the firing mechanism before it can detonate and destroy its target vehicle.
