Senator John McCain’s military records have been released by the Navy.  The .pdf file is here.  Included are a brief biographical sketch, including his dates of rank, his assignments, and his various awards, along with copies of the pertinent original documents including the original citations for his awards, the Silver Star, DFC, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, etc. (and not some made up replacement citations as we have seen from past nominees!).

There have been some vile rumors circulated on the far Left that McCain was not a tortured POW hero but a collaborator instead.  These documents, and the fact that the man cannot raise his arm high enough to salute should put an end to such vicious, unfounded hate speech.
