Israel is flat out warning Hamas that if they don’t stop the rocket fire the full strength of the Israeli military will come down on them:

JERUSALEM (AP)—Israel’s deputy defense minister warned of disaster in the Gaza Strip after Palestinian rocket fire grew more ominous Friday with an assault on an Israeli city. Gaza’s unbowed Hamas rulers promised to fight on.

Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai told Army Radio that because of the militants’ attacks, Israel had “no other choice” but to launch a massive military operation in the Gaza Strip.

“As the rocket fire grows, and the range increases ... they are bringing upon themselves a greater ‘shoah’ because we will use all our strength in every way we deem appropriate, whether in airstrikes or on the ground,” Vilnai said.

Will this stop or even slow the rocket attacks? Probably not. They may even increase. Why? Because then Hamas can cry to the world press and the UN about brutal Israeli aggression. And the media and the leftist UN will lap it up the way they always do instead of telling Hamas, look, just stop shooting rockets, stupid.
