But the first Mormon president? Whoa! That’s a different matter.
The skeptical tone toward Mitt Romney’s announcement has been impossible to miss. And the major reason is his religion.
Funny how that works, isn’t it?
Do you think the press would be as skeptical of an Islamic candidate? Or an atheist candidate? Or a Mormon candidate who was maybe a Democrat instead of a Republican?
I think there would be a marked difference in the tone of that candidate’s coverage.
