Here’s how I think the North Dakota media will treat Kent Conrad’s cushy, extra-special VIP treatment as a “Friend of Angelo.”

First, they won’t breathe a word about it until Conrad issues a press release.  Then, once they receive said press release, they’ll pretty much just report that.

Then, a week or so later, the Fargo Forum and/or the Grand Forks Herald will issue forth an Olympian-toned editorial explaining why Conrad didn’t really do anything wrong and castigating anyone saying otherwise as mean-spirited “partisans” who are just out for Conrad’s blood and not motivated by actual concerns about a US Senator being honest and ethical.

You watch.  This is exactly how it will happen.

Update: For the record, this story about Conrad has been public and online all day already and yet the Fargo Forum, which routinely sends me “breaking news” updates about cows being blown away in wind storms, has nothing about it on their website yet.
