I was getting loaded out to make the trip to my mother's place in Mississippi when the phone rang, next thing I know we have 7 trucks and 3 motorcycles all going the same way. So we are going to convoy down together. Pulling out at about 1600 hours today. Now we got enough people to drive in shifts and make it in about 22 hours. Still have not heard from family south of New Orleans yet. My immediate family are all OK and have only minor damage, roofs need repaired not rebuilt. Gonna be doing alot of ceiling repairs and clearing downed trees. Taking gas and diesel and lots of canned and dry goods.

Just wanted to let people know there is alot of ways to help, and if you get the chance to, send building materiels. Whole lot of rebuilding to be done. Check with Salvation Army and other local groups and see what you can send. Money is a help, but there are other things needed.
