THE EU has declared a crackpot war on busty barmaids — by trying to ban them from wearing low-cut tops.

Po-faced penpushers have deemed it a HEALTH HAZARD for bar girls to show too much cleavage.

And in a daft directive that will have drinkers choking on their pints, Brussels bureaucrats have ordered a cover-up.

They say barmaids run a skin cancer risk if they expose themselves to the sun when they go outside to collect glasses.

Ludicrous, right? I mean, this is laugh-out-loud funny...but it should serve as a serious example of something we need to be vigilant for in our government. When we begin to invite the government to take care of us (or passively allow them to do so) this is the sort of thing we get. Overbearing and down-right stupid laws and regulation.

Granted, this is in Europe and they're a good country mile ahead of us in the government nanny-state department, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be on guard for this sort of thing either. Its already started, to some extent. In many places of this country the anti-smoking thugs have just about made it illegal for people to smoke anywhere outside their own homes, and given the laws they've passed against business owners allowing the perfectly legal activity on their own property one has to wonder just how much longer smokers will be able to practice their habit in private. All of this was done under guise of "public health" as well, but that's what these fascists do.

They make you think they're helping you when really they're just limiting your freedoms.
