As most of you have probably heard by now a devastating earthquake has hit Pakistan. Estimates now seem to be hovering between 20,000 and 30,000 dead.

An awful, awful tragedy. And one heck of an argument for freedom and capitalism. You see, natural disasters don't kill tens of thousands in developed nations where the people flourish in an environment that has only hard work and dedication as requirements for economic success. Pakistan has no such environment.

As freedom and democracy spread in the world we'll see fewer and fewer disasters like the one we're seeing in Pakistan right now.

Anyway, until that time comes, Michelle Malkin has a list of places you can contact to send the people in Pakistan some help.

Update:

Here's something I didn't think of:

WASHINGTON - No evidence suggests that the deadly earthquake that rocked Pakistan on Saturday injured or killed the world's top terror leader,
Osama bin Laden.

The quake shook the border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan, where bin Laden is believed to be hiding. However, authorities at this point have no information indicating he's been injured or killed, said a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the information's sensitivity.

Lets hope they find his body crushed by a boulder in a cave.
